The Umbrella Academy siblings have a lot of baggage: a withholding father like literal alien Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), childhoods consumed with deadly crime fighting, and, of course, the fact that apocalypses keep following them, no matter where (or when) they go. But, for Season 3 — premiering Wednesday, June 22 — the baggage is literal. Take a look at the official key art for the upcoming season.

The entire Hargreeves clan — plus Season 2 newcomer/love interest Lila Pitts (Ritu Arya) — have all squeezed themselves onto a single luggage cart to roll themselves into Season 3. No one appears particularly happy about it, but everyone knows the Hargreeves only smile, truly, when they’re dancing. Ben (Justin H. Min) looks especially displeased to be here, which makes sense. This isn’t the sweet Ben fans fell in love with during the first two seasons of Umbrella Academy. Instead, this Ben is the viewer's gateway into the Sparrow Academy, the superpowered crime fighting ring of children Reginald assembled instead of the Umbrella Academy following the 1960s events of Season 2. Welcome to a brand new timeline. In Season 3, The Umbrella Academy members find themselves in a new time, with new rivals, and an occupied mansion. No wonder they’re throwing themselves at the trappings of hotel life.
As the just-released trailer for Season 3 reveals, nowhere is safe for the Umbrella Academy kids. When they’re at “home” in the Hargreeves abode, they’re forced to fight the extremely well-trained individuals currently living there — and they have birds. Shockingly violent birds. Beyond the domestic issues, another world-ending threat has taken up residence in town, threatening to “blitz” all of existence. “We caused a paradox. And that paradox is swallowing things,” Victor Hargreeves (Elliot Page) says. Watch the trailer to see all the explosive hijinks — and to find out what to do, should you meet your doppelgänger in the wild. Hint: Don’t kill them.
