Night Action is back, and it’s harder-hitting than ever. The Night Agent Season 3 is officially streaming now, only on Netflix. As you can see in the action-packed trailer, Peter Sutherland’s next mission is way more personal than anything he’s faced before.

Picking up after the explosive events of Season 2, Season 3 hurtles Peter (Gabriel Basso) straight into a dangerous international chase. The newly focused night agent is tasked with tracking down a young Treasury agent (Suraj Sharma) who has fled to Istanbul with sensitive government intelligence after being attacked by his boss — a move that ignites a far-reaching investigation into a dark-money network operating in the shadows.
“I think now that Peter isn’t having to balance his personal life and work life, he’s become more monomaniacal,” Basso tells Tudum about Peter’s Season 3 arc. “Whether that’s a defense mechanism or whether it’s for the better, I guess it’s up to the viewer to decide. As for me, I enjoyed being able to fully commit to a capable and more focused version of Peter.”
That assignment rapidly detonates a globe-spanning conspiracy. From Istanbul to Mexico City, New York, Washington, and beyond, Peter is forced to stay one step ahead of paid assassins while following a trail of secrets and old grudges that threaten to bring the government to its knees.

Season 3 also introduces Isabel De Leon (Genesis Rodriguez), a relentless journalist whose pursuit of the truth collides with Peter’s mission and uncovers revelations that could expose the highest levels of corruption — and get them both killed in the process.
“I think what excites me most is that, with Peter’s sense of objective good and evil and with his willingness to operate ‘outside’ the law, he’s on a collision course with his own government,” says Basso. “I hope fans of the show will get excited about returning characters, new characters, the level of stunts, and locations. I think this season was an all-round win, honestly.”
The main trailer leans hard into the action we expect from The Night Agent, showcasing close-quarters combat, terror attacks, and Peter throwing bad guys off speeding vehicles. Along the way, familiar personalities return — including his handler, Catherine Weaver (Amanda Warren); Secret Service agent Chelsea Arrington (Fola Evans-Akingbola); his nemesis, the broker (Louis Herthum); and Deputy FBI Director Aiden Mosley (Albert Jones) — while new faces enter the fray, bringing about shifting loyalties.

According to series creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan, this season is designed as an “adrenaline-fueled thrill ride,” stacking conspiracies and assassins — and uncovering the truth may be the most dangerous risk of all. Basso puts it simply: “Third time’s a charm.”
