The ONE PIECE live-action adaptation is finally here — and it’s jam-packed with adventure, antagonists, and a whole lot of pirate lore. Whether you’re a longtime superfan of Eiichiro Oda’s bestselling manga and anime series or you’re meeting Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew of Straw Hats for the first time, there’s a lot of fast-paced action (and characters!) to take in over the eight episodes. So to help you on your quest for full ONE PIECE immersion, here’s our guide to East Blue and all that lies within and beyond.

The wealthy and very sweet best friend of Usopp. She is plagued by poor health.
The title once possessed by Gold Roger. A towering figure in the pirating world, it took many years and many losses by the Marines to bring him down. His death caused a power vacuum in the pirating world: only the person who finds his hidden treasure can take up the mantle.

Kaya’s seemingly altruistic caretaker, but something seems a little fishy about him.

The very first pirate ship that Luffy encounters is this one captained by Alvida.

A group of thieves led by Higuma. They like to squeeze the residents of Windmill Village through violence.
An operative of the Baroque Works who tries to recruit Zoro into their ranks.

He is eventually won over by Luffy to become a loyal member of his crew.
