You can’t spell Netflix without NFL — and on Christmas Day 2025, the action returned with two marquee games of NFC division rivals facing-off: the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders, and Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings streaming live on Netflix. The Cowboys vs. Commanders game aired at 1 p.m. ET, from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, followed by the Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET, from the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. CBS Sports produced the games, with NFL Media producing the pre, post, and studio halftime programming.

The Dallas Cowboys were on Santa’s “nice list” this Christmas as they defeated NFC East division rival the Washington Commanders 30-23 in the first game of the doubleheader. Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott led the Cowboys with 307 passing yards and two touchdowns, including an 86-yard score to KaVontae Turpin, the new record for the longest touchdown on Christmas Day in NFL history. The duo earned MVP honors for the game, tomahawk steaks, and were awarded one-of-a-kind jackets repurposed from Santa suits — created in partnership with fashion designer Nigel Xavier, winner of Netflix’s Next in Fashion Season 2.
It was a Christmas Day miracle for the banged-up Minnesota Vikings as they beat NFC North division rival Detroit Lions 23-10 during the second matchup of the 2025 NFL Christmas Games on Netflix. Aaron Jones Sr. and Jordan Addison each had a rushing touchdown to lead the Vikings, while their defense forced six turnovers by the Lions, officially eliminating them from playoff contention. Defensive duo Andrew Van Ginkel and Byron Murphy were named MVPs, earned their Santa suit-inspired jackets and a steak meal for their teammates.
Emmy and Grammy Award–winning superstar Kelly Clarkson welcomed fans around the world to NFL Christmas Gameday 2025 with a performance of her holiday hit, “Underneath the Tree.”
Legendary performer Snoop Dogg headlined Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party during the Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings matchup that featured a surprise performance from renowned vocalists Maestro Andrea Bocelli and Matteo Bocelli, Grammy Award–winning country superstar and reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, Lainey Wilson plus HUNTR/X — EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — of Netflix’s smash-hit KPOP Demon Hunters, the most popular film ever on Netflix with the longest run in the Netflix Top 10.

NFL Christmas Gameday 2025 featured stars on both the gridiron and in the broadcast booth, including returning on-air talent such as the father-son duo of Ian and Noah Eagle, Netflix Sports Club’s Kay Adams, former NFL stars Drew Brees, Manti Te’o and Nate Burleson, among others. New additions to the Christmas Day celebrations include Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, Commanders star running back Austin Ekeler and WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, to ring in the holidays with even more cheer and expert football analysis.
In 2024, Netflix streamed its first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday with the Chiefs defeating the Steelers 29-10 and the Ravens dominating the Texans 31-2. The showdowns are the two most streamed NFL games in U.S. history, with an average audience of more than 26.5 million viewers in the U.S., and over 30 million viewers globally. One of the biggest highlights of Christmas Gameday 2024 was Beyoncé’s unforgettable performance. In her hometown of Houston, Beyoncé debuted her Cowboy Carter album in a jaw-dropping spectacle that featured Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Brittney Spencer, and Beyoncé’s own daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Rodeo legends, cultural icons, and over two hundred members of Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Marching Band joined her for a Western-flavored spectacle now dubbed the Beyoncé Bowl — and if you find yourself eager to relive the magic, you can watch it on Netflix now.
