Hut, hut, hike! Quarterback is back, and the stakes are bigger than ever.

Netflix’s hit sports documentary series returns to give football fans exclusive and unprecedented access to a quartet of quarterbacks as they navigate the 2025 NFL season on and off the field.

From injuries and trades to parenthood and expanding families, Quarterback Season 3 highlights an all-new roster of signal callers at different crossroads of their NFL careers.

Who is featured in Quarterback Season 3?

Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels joins Quarterback after taking the NFL by storm as a rookie in 2024. Setting multiple league records while leading the Commanders to a 12-5 record and a game away from the Super Bowl, Daniels was nearly unanimously named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. After putting the league on notice with a historic debut season in Washington, Daniels enters Year 2 with the pressure, attention, and momentum all dialed up.

“I'm super private, so I don't really like a lot of people know what I got going on,” Daniels tells Tudum about joining Quarterback. “I kind of just move how I move, but I thought it was good to be able to step out of my comfort zone a little bit and show fans a different perspective into my life and a little bit of what I deal with on a daily basis.”

Former Heisman Trophy winner and top draft pick Baker Mayfield bounced around the league a bit early in his career, but has certainly found a home — and a growing family — with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, earning two Pro Bowl selections while replacing the legendary Tom Brady. Entering his third season with the Bucs in 2025, the expectations couldn’t be higher for Mayfield and his talented receiving corp.

This will be an inside look at the good, the bad, the ugly, just really the endurance of a season,” Mayfield shares. “The physical toll, the mental toll of it, how long it is, how many people it really takes. You see the game on Sundays, but just the preparation, the people that help you get there and just that process and how important some of the things are to you throughout the year, whether it's going good or bad.”

The NFL’s most recent No. 1 draft pick, Cam Ward of the Tennessee Titans, makes his professional debut with Netflix cameras watching his every move. The record-setting college QB earned the Davey O’Brien and Manning awards as one of the country’s top quarterbacks in his senior season at the University of Miami, and now takes his talents to the professional level, already the face of his new team.

As a rookie, I went through more change than what I did in college,” Ward adds. “Everything happens so fast — from pre-draft to draft to OTAs and mini camp to training camp to the season — it’s like the clocks ticking, just like that, and you don't really realize how fast it goes by until the season's over.”

Joe Flacco has been in the NFL almost as long as Ward has been alive. The former Super Bowl MVP is the first player to be traded during a season of Quarterback, offering a unique look at the business of the NFL. As he finds his way from the Cleveland Browns to divisional rival the Cincinnati Bengals, Flacco must learn a fresh playbook and build relationships with new teammates, all while balancing fatherhood.

“In general, fans have this grand idea of what the NFL is like,” Flacco says. “They really only have a view of the top five guys on each team and what their life may be like. In general, there's a much different feel in the NFL than your average fan has.”
