It’s hard to believe, but just one year ago, HUNTR/X took the stage and changed the world forever. Throughout that whole year, KPop Demon Hunters hasn’t left the spotlight. It has officially spent 52 consecutive weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10, beating the previous record of 20 weeks held by Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The animated musical film is Netflix’s most-watched title ever, and on track to be its biggest franchise ever.
The timing is perfect. On June 20, KPop Demon Hunters will officially celebrate its one-year anniversary, and we’re kicking off the party early. Fans will have new ways to return to the world of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, with special anniversary screenings and more surprises rolling out throughout the week.
Since its debut, KPop Demon Hunters has become more than a movie. It’s gone on to win two Academy Awards and has grown into a fan-fueled phenomenon, powered by the songs, style, action, and heart that made viewers fall for HUNTR/X, the pop-superstar trio secretly protecting humanity from demonic forces between performances.
Now, as the official anniversary approaches, events, activations, and merch drops will bring fans even closer to the world of HUNTR/X.
The festivities begin with special anniversary screenings around the world, including theatrical presentations, outdoor community screenings, and sing-along events where fans can experience the music and magic together. Netflix House locations will also join the celebration, with screenings in Philadelphia all week and a day full of fan activities on June 20 in both locations.

HUNTR/X is heading back to the big screen. KPop Demon Hunters will return to theaters across the US for special anniversary screenings. Fans can sing along, cheer together, and experience the supernatural K-pop spectacle loud, larger-than-life, and most importantly, surrounded by fellow Hunters.
Of course, HUNTR/X fandom is global, and anniversary screenings will also be available in South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Israel.

On June 20, fans everywhere can celebrate one year of KPop Demon Hunters with the ultimate global watch party. The official Netflix TikTok account will host a nine-hour livestream featuring multiple versions of the film — including the original, Sing-Along, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese versions — so fans around the world can drop in, sing along, and experience the movie together in real time.
The all-day event will also feature special appearances and segments from creators, influencers, fans, cast, and filmmakers, with live commentary, never-before-seen animatics, fan moments, and surprise activations throughout the stream. And for anyone following along across Netflix’s social channels, exclusive moments will roll out in real time. Light sticks up!
The glow-up goes on. To celebrate the first anniversary of KPop Demon Hunters, Anua and Netflix have taken their limited-edition skincare collab beyond the beauty aisle with “Gonna Be Glowin’,” a campaign song and music video featuring HUNTR/X. The campaign builds on Anua’s February 2026 collection launch, which includes Zero-Cast SPF, Matte SPF, Sunstick SPF, Demon Acne Patch, and Honmoon Mask. Later this summer, you’ll be walking on gold. A new KPop Demon Hunters x Vans collaboration is on the way, bringing the film’s sparkle to a fresh pair of kicks. The upcoming drop features Vans sneakers with KPop Demon Hunters–inspired details, including metallic gold accents, HUNTR/X’s iconography, and starry embellishments. Starting June 22 at participating online retailers around the world, toys from Mattel, Hasbro, and Jazwares will be available for purchase. Items include: Mattel’s fashion and singing dolls, Hasbro’s Furblets as Derpy Tiger and Demon Saja, and Jazwares’ plush line.
In celebration of the one-year anniversary, bemyfriends is bringing a special merchandise pop-up to fans around the world throughout the rest of the year.
