Power has changed hands, but as the official trailer for Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black Season 3 reveals, the fight is far from over.
After the hit series’ explosive Season 2 finale left the Bellarie crew in chaos, Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black — Perry’s first series for Netflix — returns with even higher stakes as Kimmie fights to retain her spot at the top of the Bellarie family’s business empire, old enemies plot their next move, and dangerous secrets threaten to unravel everything she's fought to build.
The trailer, which you can watch above, offers a glimpse at the shifting allegiances, betrayals, and explosive confrontations ahead.

For Kimmie, those mounting threats mean that reaching the top was only the beginning. “The hardest part of being powerful isn’t gaining the power, it’s keeping it,” says Taylor Polidore Williams, who plays Kimmie. “She has to stay several steps ahead at all times because being in the family clearly doesn’t mean she’s safe. It just means the target on her back is bigger.”

One way Kimmie could protect that power? Joining forces with Mallory. “The Bellarie family has always relied on division, secrets, and people turning against one another. When Mallory and Kimmie find common ground, it becomes much harder for those old dynamics to work,” says Crystle Stewart, who plays Mallory. “Their alliance forces everyone to adapt, and it changes the game in ways no one could have predicted.”

But plenty of questions remain after the FBI raid in the Season 2 finale: Who’s still stuck in prison? Who’s running the Delinda’s Dolls and Dudes strip club? And how will Kimmie and Mallory’s new partnership affect the fight for control of the larger Bellaire family empire? One thing is certain: No one will emerge from the next power struggle unscathed.

Get ready to stream all eight episodes when Season 3 premieres Aug. 27, only on Netflix. Until then, revisit the first two seasons to relive all the action before the Bellarie family’s next chapter begins.
And never fear — the drama will continue: Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black has already been renewed for a fourth season.
