Audiences are staying away from the water and close to their screens, as Below premiered at the top of the English TV list with 17 million views. This marks the most-viewed debut of a Netflix Canadian title. Josh Hartnett stars in the twisty limited series as Calvin, a fisherman whose small Newfoundland hometown is terrorized by a mysterious sea creature. He teams up with a marine researcher (Mackenzie Davis) to confront the creature in an attempt to keep his family and community safe, including his son Wade (Charlie Heaton).

Animals launched at the top of the English film list, collecting 23.8 million views. Ben Affleck co-wrote, directed, and stars in the heart-racing thriller as Mark, a politician whose son is kidnapped. As he and his wife, Abigail (Kerry Washington), scramble to raise the ransom payment, they’re forced to make choices — and reveal secrets — that could tear their world apart. Gillian Anderson and Steven Yeun are also in the film.

East of Eden took the No. 2 spot on the English TV list with 12.6 million views, nearly doubling its viewership in its second week for a cumulative 19.1 million views. Florence Pugh leads the adaptation of John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel as Cathy Ames, alongside Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist as brothers Adam and Charles Trask. Tracy Letts and Martha Plimpton are also in the limited series, which retells the long-beloved family saga that unfolds in California’s Salinas Valley.

Tyler Perry’s Doing Life, in which a single mother and a reformed ex-con form an unexpected connection, rose to the No. 2 spot on the English film list with 18.2 million views. Meanwhile, UNABOMBER, in which Jacob Tremblay portrays domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski, seized the No. 7 spot with 7.3 million views.

Mojo Brookz: I Know You Lying, the debut Netflix special from the stand-up comedian, nabbed the No. 4 spot on the English TV list with 3.3 million views. And Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story claimed the No. 5 spot in its fourth week on the list with 3 million views. In the limited series, Ella Beatty portrays the infamous Massachusetts woman who was charged with the axe murders of her parents in 1892.

The second season of the crime series The Gentlemen stole the No. 8 spot in its sixth week on the English TV list with 2 million views. The reality competition Wonka’s The Golden Ticket won No. 9 on the list with 1.9 million views. And the already renewed college-set series A Different World enrolled in the No. 10 spot with 1.9 million views.

Doctor X: Mafia in White harnessed its surgical brilliance to claim the top spot on the non-English TV list with 4.6 million views. The Korean series stars Kim Ji-won (Queen of Tears) as a gifted but callous surgeon who takes on only the most baffling of medical cases. And Crazy Rich, Incredibly Broke — the Saudi dramedy about three spoiled siblings whose father reveals they’ve lost their fortune — took the No. 2 spot on the non-English film list with 3.2 million views.
