The holidays are upon us! Which means snow, sentimentality, stress-induced acid reflux from last-minute shopping, one too many FaceTimes with the fam and, of course, binge-able holiday movies to surrender yourself to while snuggling up with a deliciously decadent drink.

Today we’re serving up sweet-and-spicy hot chocolate to pair with the funniest, most heartwarming holiday movies.

Spicy Hot Chocolate Recipe | What To Eat While Watching Holiday Movies

So wrap yourself in your fave cozy blanket, shut out the world and let the warmth cascade into your soul as you snort-laugh your way through Love Hard, Single all the Way and The Princess Switch library (including its newest addition, The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star).

You don't even have to take breaks in between or change out of your PJs. We won't tell anyone you're skipping showers — that's our gift to you.

Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Dark Hot Chocolate 2 cups milk (this works with any kind of milk or nondairy milk substitute — viewer’s choice!) 1 cinnamon stick (substitute with 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more to garnish) 1 red chili pepper, split in half (optional, substitute with pinch of cayenne pepper) 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate bar) 2 teaspoons sugar Pinch of salt Whipped cream and large marshmallows, to serve

In a small pot, add milk, cinnamon and chili and place over medium heat. When the milk comes to a gentle simmer, remove from heat. Stir in chocolate, sugar and a pinch of salt until melted and dissolved. Pour hot chocolate into your favorite holiday mug and remove chili. Top with whipped cream or a couple large marshmallows. Add more grated or ground cinnamon if desired.

**This could also be heated in a microwave. Microwave all ingredients in a mug for 1-2 minutes or until hot and chocolate has melted.
