Seth Rogen and Kate Berlant Join Nobody Wants This Season 2

Their “energy together was a dream,” says co-showrunner Jenni Konner.

    Sept. 18, 2025

Everybody wants to join the Nobody Wants This cast.

Season 2’s newest guest stars include newly minted Emmy winner Seth Rogen (The Studio, The Interview) and Kate Berlant (Don’t Worry, Darling, Duck Butter). “[Seth] and Kate Berlant’s energy together was a dream,” co-showrunner Jenni Konner tells Netflix. “When you get brilliant people to come in, it makes your writing and the show better.”

Rogen’s series The Studio took home 13 awards at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, breaking the all-time record for most wins for a comedy series. The Studio also set the record as the most-winning freshman comedy series. Berlant, whose latest film Maddie’s Secret just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, is currently closing out her summer comedy tour later this month in Los Angeles, the hometown of Nobody Wants This.

Rogen and Berlant join Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, and Arian Moayed as guest stars in Season 2. “If we got lucky with our main cast, we got just as lucky with our guest stars,” says creator Erin Foster.

Season 1 of Nobody Wants This captured the haze of an unlikely couple falling in love: Joanne (Kristen Bell), an agnostic and outspoken podcaster, and Noah (Adam Brody), a kindhearted rabbi. Season 2 explores how their relationship deepens, alongside returning cast members Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons as the couple’s wayward siblings.
