Oliwia (Szymańczyk), a chef at an upscale city restaurant in Wrocław, Poland, has no plans to leave her job — especially if those plans involve her dysfunctional family. So she’s more than a little displeased when she’s pulled away from work to attend the funeral of her estranged grandmother, Halina (Seniuk). After making the trek back to her rural hometown, Oliwia is shocked to find out that Halina staged her death to trick her granddaughter into coming home.
But Grandma’s got another surprise in store. Shortly after popping up out of her coffin alive and well, Halina skips town — leaving Oliwia to take over all the farming… and her grandmother’s debt. As she gets used to life in the country, Oliwia is thankful to have a helping hand from Kuba (Janicki), a dashing single father who runs an aromatic herb company. Except Oliwia thinks Kuba is someone else entirely — his best friend, Wojtek (Gurłacz). Soon, Oliwia and Kuba grow close… but Kuba’s secrets, including his undisclosed business venture, could jeopardize their relationship — and Halina’s farm.
