The Ultimatum worked for Colby Kissinger and Madlyn Ballatori — the couple, who entered the experiment with a relationship on the rocks, are now happily married with a baby on the way. But during the show, where contestants must break up with their partners to undergo trial marriages, Colby says he was majorly worried.
After We Have the Receipts co-host Chris Burns asks him if he ever regretted giving the ultimatum, Colby responds with an emphatic “Yes.” Colby explains, “it was probably day three. Day three, I was down in the bathroom, and that’s when I was like, ‘I screwed up. I wanna get out of here’ kinda thing,” he says on the newest episode of the podcast. “I’m just so in love with this girl, and seeing all these guys talking to her, knowing that they’re gonna be potentially living with her and creating some type of relationship, it’s hard.”
During the podcast episode, Colby and Madlyn open up about all things Ultimatum, explaining how they made up after that Episode 8 fight (an off-camera conversation), if they regret anything they said on television (some of it) and what their Ultimatum ground rules were (no sex, which co-host Lauren Speed-Hamilton calls “loosey-goosey”). The couple also chat more about their wedding plans and their daughter, who is due in just two weeks.
Plus, in this week’s episode, listen to bonus footage from the WHTR interview with Rae Williams and Shanique Imari, where they share their post-reunion relationship statuses.
