Season 1 of Drive Hard: The Maloof Way begins with Sammy, Hannah and the rest of the shop crew preparing an Army veteran for a race against a more experienced opponent. Meanwhile, Sammy also works on a major stunt with the twins, Kaitlyn and Meghan, and there’s no room for error. Next, an old client returns to Sammy’s shop, asking forgiveness after letting another mechanic work on his engine. He hopes to get an edge in a drag race against an upcoming opponent, who’s backed by Sammy’s main competitor in the engine-building business. Afterward, another racer needs help with a grudge race against a trash-talking opponent, and the twins help Sammy pull off his next gravity-defying stunt.
Next up, Sammy and the shop crew get busy evening out the odds for a client determined to beat his boastful brother in an off-road match, and the twins prepare for a Tron-inspired stunt with their dad. In the next race, Sammy and the crew get involved in a celebrity face-off between Adam Carolla (The Man Show) and Jeff Allen (The Car Chasers). When engine-building and racing legend Larry Mollicone comes to Sammy for help inspiring his grandson to carry on the family legacy, it’s the perfect opportunity to set up a match against another racing family. Lastly, Hannah finally gets behind the wheel to go up against a familiar trash-talking racer, and the twins take the lead in an explosive stunt to remember.
