When Jason Momoa says it’s time for an adventure, you take a leap of faith and join him. During Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event, Momoa revealed a brand-new clip from his upcoming adventure film Slumberland, and it’s sure to give you butterflies (literally).
In the scene, Momoa’s character, Flip, welcomes a young girl named Nemo (Marlow Barkley) into his whimsical world of Slumberland. Nemo’s still mourning her late father’s passing, but Flip is determined to take her on a journey to reunite them. You see, Slumberland isn’t like any other place she’s ever been to. Here, she has the ability to traverse through different dreams and make her imagination come to life.

Flip introduces himself to Nemo as an outlaw who doesn’t like to play by the rules. He’s an eccentric fellow, while she’s a smart aleck who keeps him in check. Although he does have a distaste for the cops that patrol Slumberland — after all, getting caught would result in an eternal prison sentence.
And Barkley wasn’t just living in a dreamworld when she was in character. Getting to work alongside Momoa also felt like a dream come true. “We would joke around on set, racing each other and singing funny songs,” she recently told Netflix. “He made me feel like we had known each other for years.”

Directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games), the film also stars Chris O’Dowd, Kyle Chandler, Weruche Opia, India de Beaufort and Humberly Gonzalez.
