Tríada

First up in the Tudum: A global fan event, Part 2 lineup was an exclusive first-look clip fromTríada, an edge-of-your seat mystery about a forensics expert named Becca (Maite Perroni) who, when investigating a murder, realizes that the body of the victim looks exactly like her. Becca begins a personal and secret investigation where a more surprising revelation awaits her: There is a third identical woman — and, at Tudum LATAM, Perroni gave us a sneak peak of all three. Directed by Alba Gil and Leonardo D’Antoni, Tríada  stars Maite Perroni, David Chocarro, Flavio Medina, Nuria Bages, Ofelia Medina, Ana Layevska, Daniella Valdez and Aldo Gallardo.

A First Look Into Carga MaximaTake a peek into Netflix's first Brazilian action film.

Carga Maxima

Next up, Sheron Menzes introduced her co-stars in Carga Maxima, and the cast took a break from being behind the wheel for a behind-the-scenes look at the show. The first Brazilian action movie on Netflix, Carga Maxima follows Roger (Thiago Martins), a truck racing driver who starts driving for a cargo robbery gang in order to keep his team. Once inside the crime, he’ll have to fight hard to get out. The film is directed by Tomás Portella and written by Leandro Soares.

Matrimillas

After the intense identity crisis of Tríada and some high-octane engine roaring in Carga Maxima, a romantic comedy was a welcomed pause. The next exclusive preview at Tudum: A global fan event, Part 2 was a romantic comedy out of Argentina that follows a young couple in a rough patch, with seemingly no solutions to their marital problems. As a last resource, they decide to use an app that gives (or subtracts) points for each good deed they do for one another. What happens next could save their marriage — or spiral it out of control completely. Matrimillas is directed by Sebastián De Caro and stars Luisana Lopilato and Juan Minujín.

El Elegido

Perhaps you weren’t expecting to see Dianna Agron at Tudum: A global fan event, Part 2, but then again, the event was full of surprises. Agron and co-star Tenoch Huerta took the audience behind-the-scenes of El Elegido, the series based on a graphic novel called American Jesus by creator Mark Millar. An interview with Millar provided additional context for the adaptation: It’s a story of a 12-year-old boy named Jodie who suddenly discovers he has Jesus-like powers: He can turn water into wine, make the crippled walk and, perhaps, even raise the dead. Tudum LATAM audiences got a first peek at where El Elegido was shot in Mexico, as well as a peek at some of its young, up-and-coming cast.

Premiering Oct. 12

Belascoarán

Fans of ’70s nostalgia and noir, take note: Belascoarán is a gritty ride into a world you’re going to love, and during the event, the series got an enthusiastic intro from Luis Gerardo Méndez, the actor playing the titular main character, and a behind-the-scenes look at what it was like to film the show. The series is an adaptation of the novels written by Paco Ignacio Taibo II, and follows an engineer who blows up his life and becomes a detective in Mexico City, confronting mass violence and corruption when he does. Belascoarán is also the first three-part series out of Mexico, directed by Ernesto Contreras (Episode 1), Hiromi Kamata (Episode 2) and Gonzalo Amat (Episode 3).

Ardiente Paciencia

The Ardiente Paciencia trailer was next on the lineup, and like El Elegido and Belascoarán, it’s also based on a book. The trailer gave audiences a peek at the love story of a young fisherman who dreams of being a poet but finds himself doing the next best thing: He becomes Pablo Neruda’s postman, involved in a world of metaphors and verses to achieve not only his desire of being a writer but also to conquer Beatriz, the woman of his dreams. The film is directed by Rodrigo Sepúlveda and stars Andrew BargstedVivianne Dietz, Claudio Arredondo, Paola Giannini, Amalia Kassai, Rodolfo Pulgar, Pablo Macaya and Trinidad González.

Love is Blind: Brazil Season 2 TrailerWill these singles marry the person they fell in love with?
Premiering Nov. 30

Casamento às Cegas Brasil Love Is Blind Brazil

Before you knew it (and with a surprise appearance from the cast of Squid Game in the interim), Tudum: A global fan event, Part 2 switched from the shores of a young fisherman’s mind to the world of reality television. Love Is Blind Brazil is back, and judging by this first-look trailer, there’s more drama than ever. For those who missed the first season, here’s the setup: Singles who want to be loved for who they are will choose someone to marry without ever meeting them. Over four weeks, they’ll move in together, plan their wedding and attempt to add a physical connection to their emotional bond. When their wedding day arrives, will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with? Or will physical realities and external factors sabotage them? It’s messy, fun and the kind of reality TV that reality TV was invented for.

La Firma

Speaking of reality shows, it’s time to meet La Firma, the brand-new talent show with the goal of finding the next music superstar. In the exclusive clip, audiences got a first look at the making of the show — and suddenly, without warning, Will.I.Am is there. Juried by Rauw Alejandro, Nicki Nicole, Yandel, Tainy, Lex Borrero and, of course, Will.I.Am, the show gives up-and-coming performers the chance to make it in music.

The series is directed by Felipe Góez Aparicio and Gonzalo Tobal, the series stars Iván Hochman, Gaspar Offenhenden, Micaela Riera, Andrés Fejerman (Andy Chango), and Julián Kartún, Daryna Butryk, Joaquín Baglietto.

Elite

Following an unexpected  and exciting appearance from You star Penn Badgley, there was another surprise lurking just around the corner: Elite is back, and, as the cast teased during the event, the drama is messier than ever. After the fatal events of the previous school year,  Las Encinas wants to distance itself from its past as it begins a new year. But new, seemingly insurmountable challenges await. Whether or not the students are up for them remains to be seen, but a first-look trailer proved it’ll be a wild ride either way.

Palpito

The Elite cast stuck around to introduce a clip from Palpito, the Colombian series also returning for its second season. After Simon’s wife is murdered (and her organs are transplanted into the wife of a wealthy nemesis), Simon plunges into the dangerous world of organ trafficking. In the process, he connects with the woman who received his wife’s heart — and what happens next will keep your pulse up. The series is directed by Camilo Vega and stars Ana Lucía Domínguez, Michel Brown, Sebastián Martínez, Margarita Muñoz, Moisés Arizmendi, Juan Fernando Sánchez, Mauricio Cujar, Jackeline Arenal, Felipe Mejía, Valeria Emiliani, Julián Cerati, Dos Rayos, Nina Rodríguez and Juan F. Samper.

Depois do Universo (Beyond the Universe)

Up next, an extended first-look trailer from Depois do Universo, an emotional love story out of Brazil. But a romance with a young doctor helps her overcome her insecurities and fight for her goal of playing on stage with the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra. Directed by Diego Freitas and starring Henrique Zaga, Giulia Be, João Miguel, Othon Bastos, Rita Assemany, Leo Bahia, Viviane Araújo, Isabel Fillardis and Denise Del Vecchio.

A Set Visit With The Cast Of A Través del MarThe actors share what it was like to shoot the film.

A Través del Mar (Across the Sea)

To close out the show, actors Clara Galle and Julio Peña introduced a clip from their new film A Través del Mar at Tudum: A global fan event, Part 2 — and standing on the set where they shot the film, no less. In fact, audiences who stayed until the bittersweet end of Tudum LATAM got a special tour of part of the set, along with surprise visits from other members of the cast. The movie follows a couple in a long distance relationship whose reunion is more challenging than either anticipated, as what they thought was an unbreakable bond proves to be shaky and uncertain. The film is directed by Marçal Forés and also stars Hugo Arbués, Eric Masip, Andrea Chaparro, Ivan Lapadula, Natalia Azahara, Guillermo Lasheras, Carla Tous and Emilia Lazo.
