What happens in Iron Reign?

The boss of Barcelona’s seaport, Joaquín (Fernández), runs a tight ship. The port is stacked with shipments and receives more and more every day. So it’s no wonder Joaquín runs a drug empire from his end of the shipping yard. How could anyone detect a scant amount of cocaine — 33 tons annually — when only a few containers are inspected upon arrival? 

Manufacturers may not be keen enough to spot the drugs, but Joaquín and his men are. If the dockworkers try to skim a little off the top… they may not live to see tomorrow. But the all-powerful Joaquín — and the entire Manchado clan — are in a tough spot: They’re set to receive a very important and very cocaine-filled stack of containers at the port… except there’s a bottleneck, the ships are delayed, and a coup may be underfoot. So when the delivery goes missing, a gang war breaks out between Joaquín’s most ruthless rivals in the underworld. As the Manchados battle to find out who got them into this mess, their reputation — and their lives — are put in jeopardy.
