In Byron Bay, things aren’t as perfect as they seem.
The idyllic Australian beach town is the setting for Byron Baes, a new docusoap that follows a close-knit group of influencers, entrepreneurs and artists who call Byron Bayhome. This group especially likes to indulge in the more spiritual side of life — think crystals, sound baths and spiritual healers — though one cast member jokes that the crystals aren’t working because he’s “still single, still poor.”
But when two new kids, influencer Jade and musician Sarah, join the group, drama follows. One member accuses another of causing “beef between two guys,” while Jade calls someone “a fucking joke.”
“They come for the dreamy beaches, the beautiful sunsets and the high-impact connections,” the show’s synopsis reads, “but it can be brutal — and the gossip can be fierce — if you’re from out of town and trying to break into this close-knit community of locals.”
So relax with some surf and sound healing, because the drama unfolds March 9. In the meantime, catch the full trailer below and unwind with a big glass of “Savvy B.”
