Faux followers, philanderers and fake friendships — there’s no shortage of drama in reality series Byron Baes. But since we’ve left our feisty friend group, what’s the down-low? Did Nathan and Sarah end up going on another date after the show wrapped up? What’s next for Jess’ fashion brand? We reunited the cast of Byron Baes to ask them our most pressing questions and to find out what really went down after the cameras stopped rolling.

What happened to Sarah?

When we last left resident muso Sarah, she had just moved back to the Gold Coast after feeling like an outcast. But while fitting in might have been a challenge, it at least helped her find some inspiration.

After Sarah returned from the coastal town, she channeled her energy into writing some “sad songs,” including her recently released single “Liars,” which she describes as “a time stamp of her move” and a “self-fulfilling prophecy.”

And while Nathan and Sarah have gone for lunch and caught up since, the pair are vague about their current status but acknowledge that “love is complicated.”

What really went down between Hannah and Jess?

The reunion also gave the cast a chance to clear the air on some lingering bad vibes. In Episode 1, we witness a tense confrontation between Hannah and Jess after an unfortunate encounter involving a birthday dinner and a screaming match.

When asked about the events of that night, Hannah says it all comes down to a misunderstanding. “I did something really nice for you, and you said you were literally gonna take me out to thank me, and then I see that you went out for dinner,” Hannah tells Jess. “But then I realized it was actually a work thing, and that’s why I wasn’t invited.”

Jess adds, “I feel like Hannah and I have miscommunications often, which is something we’re all working on.”

Does Elias reckon Nathan’s still a “fuckboy”?

As for the question that’s a hotly debated topic throughout the season — Is Nathan still a fuckboy? — well, according to Elias, “Nathan’s had a lot of self-growth and really turned [over] a new leaf.”

Byron Baes is streaming on Netflix, and you can watch the full cast reunion below.
