Ever dreamt you’d one day wake up with superpowers, holding the fate of heaven and hell in your hands? Welcome to the world of Ava (Alba Baptista) on Warrior Nun. Based on the comic book Warrior Nun Areala by Ben Dunn, Warrior Nun is back with a first-look teaser that gives a glimpse at what the demon-fighting nuns are up against in Season 2, returning later this year.
Season 1 follows Ava coming to terms with her new status as a member of the Order of the Cruciform Sword, a group of devout women dedicated to fighting an ancient evil. In her previous life, Ava was a paraplegic, orphaned after her mother’s death. But when Ava herself meets a similar fate, the nuns resurrect her. When she comes back to life, Ava is branded with the power of an ancient halo — turning her into the Warrior Nun.

The finale of the 10-episode season ends on a cliffhanger, immersed in the battle between the Order and a false angel — Adriel (William Miller).
But how does Season 2 pick up from there? The Warrior Sisters know you’re curious, as Ava relays in her narration in the teaser: “I know. You want to know what happened.” Sorry to disappoint, but Ava is looking for answers, too. In her words: “To tell you the truth, I’m still figuring it out myself.”
In the teaser, we see the Halo-Bearer readying for battle again against the devil, Adriel, and being told, “No one else has ever defeated Adriel… and lived.” But the Warrior Nun is, by all means, fierce, and takes up the challenge: “Well, then, looks like we’re gonna have to make history.”
