Once the action kicks off in The Umbrella Academy Season 3, its titular heroes are a mess. Luther Hargreeves (Tom Hopper) is concussed and loopy, and everyone else is bloodied and bruised. The roughed-up family doesn’t improve from there, as they’re forced to battle the buttoned-up Sparrow Academy along with a reality-collapsing black hole (that’s really more amber-colored, to be honest) and their own inter-sibling drama. Even this season’s wedding has the humidity of the apocalypse about it. There simply isn’t a lot of time for glam. 

“Well, I’ve been pushing for a [proper] suit since Season 1,” Aidan Gallagher, who plays Five Hargreeves, told Tudum on the Umbrella Academy Season 3 red carpet. Gallagher has been limited to Five’s classic Umbrella Academy schoolboy uniform since Season 1 — save for a Hawaiian shirt here and there. Thankfully for him and the rest of the cast, there were no costume requirements at the recording of their recent Geeked Week panel. 

Instead, the Umbrella Academy actors — including Hopper, Gallagher, ​​David Castañeda, Justin H. Min, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Genesis Rodriguez — were able to smize, pose and dress to their hearts’ content.
