The ‘Slumberland’ Trailer Is What Dreams Are Made Of

Jason Momoa and Marlow Barkley’s upcoming adventure film takes flight this November.

The full trailer for Slumberland is finally here, and it’s an adventure beyond your wildest dreams.

In the teaser, we’re introduced to 11-year-old Nemo (Marlow Barkley), who’s sent to live with her awkward uncle Phillip (Chris O’Dowd) after unexpectedly losing her father (Kyle Chandler) at sea. The city life is far from her idyllic Pacific Northwest upbringing, but at night she comes across a secret map to the fantastical world of Slumberland, where she meets a lovable outlaw named Flip (Jason Momoa). With his guidance, the unlikely pair traverse through dreams and flee nightmares, hoping to reunite Nemo with her father.

As the trailer shows, anything’s possible in Slumberland. Whether they’re flying off cliffs or traveling through toilets, the laws of physics don’t apply. However, even with the freedom of imagination, not everything is fun and games. “Rule No. 1: Stay focused. You slip up, you’ll never see the waking world again,” Flip warns Nemo. The stakes are high, but with Flip as a guide, there’s no shortage of laughter and awkward dancing.

For Barkley, filming alongside Momoa was just as much of an adventure off screen. “He made me feel so welcomed. We would joke around on set, racing each other and singing funny songs. He made me feel like we had known each other for years,” she recently told Netflix

Directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire & MockingjayI Am Legend), the film also stars India de Beaufort (One Day At A Time), Humberly González (Ginny & Georgia) and Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You).

Slumberland premieres Nov. 18, just in time for the holiday season.
