In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire starring Paul Rudd and Finn Wolfhard, a band of veteran Ghostbusters and their newest recruits must fight off the end of the world from a spirit inhabiting an ancient orb. The film from director Gil Kenan (Monster House) features an ensemble including Carrie Coon, Mckenna Grace, Bill Murray, Kumail Nanjiani, and Patton Oswalt. Did the Ghostbusters end up saving all of humanity? No spoilers here, but in the meantime, here are three other action-adventure films that’ll satisfy your hero complex.

Four kids with nothing in common get stranded at summer camp when aliens attack the planet, forcing them to band and attempt to save the world. From director McG (The Babysitter) and writer Zack Stentz (Thor), the family-friendly sci-fi movie stars Jack Gore (The Kids Are Alright), Miya Cech (American Girl: Corinne Tan), Benjamin Flores Jr. (Fear Street: Part One - 1994), and Alessio Scalzotto (A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting).

Crime-fighting, sewer-dwelling turtles Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael must save New York City from giant-rat bad guy, Splinter, and his minions, the Foot Clan. From director Jonathan Liebesman (Halo), the live-action reboot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Johnny Knoxville (Jackass Forever), Megan Fox (The Expendables 4), and Will Arnett (Murderville).

In the fantasy action-adventure film Damsel, a young woman named Elodie (Millie Bobby Brown) agrees to marry a handsome prince before finding out she’s been tricked into repaying a royal family’s ancient, and cursed, debt. After being thrown in a pit with a fire-breathing dragon, Elodie must fight her way out — or succumb to the cave like the women whocame before her. The film from Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) stars Brown (Stranger Things, Enola Holmes), Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), and Robin Wright (Wonder Woman 1984).
