Depending on who you ask, New York City is either one of the world’s toughest places to date, or one of the most exciting. But either way, it’s a lot. Maybe what you need are fewer options, not more. Well, ask, and the five boroughs provide. Welcome to Netflix Stories: Love Is Blind NYC. It’s time to grab your goblet — the pods are now open.

What is Netflix Stories: Love Is Blind NYC about?

Netflix Stories: Love Is Blind NYC is all about letting you live out your pod fantasies with Gotham’s iconic skyline as the backdrop. You’re a sexy single looking for something permanent in the city that never sleeps or seems to slow down, and entrusting your love life to this nuptial experiment. You’ll enter the pods, hang in the lounge, swap sweethearts, propose, and maybe even say “I do” at the altar.

What kind of game is Netflix Stories: Love Is Blind NYC?

Netflix Stories: Love Is Blind NYC is an interactive narrative game based on the hit Netflix dating show. You’ll create your main character, pick your pronouns, then enter the pods to find the love of your life without ever setting eyes on them. The choices you make and what you say will shape who you fall in love with, how others react to you, and how your Gotham happily ever after plays out.

What’s new in Netflix Stories: Love Is Blind NYC?

More choices, more romance, more drama — that’s the name of the game in Netflix Stories: Love Is Blind NYC

While the dating options are dramatically pared back compared to Manhattan’s population of eligible singles, you still have a number of potential paramours to pick from. Pod dates are the heart of the experience (and experiment). Now? They’re even longer, giving you so much more time to form a connection with your boo.

You can go on as many or as few dates as you’d like — sometimes you just know when the person on the other side of the glowing wall is your soulmate and don’t need to drag the proposal out any further. Don’t worry, though: If any of your dates take a nosedive, you can pull the rip cord and end it early.

Regardless of the body type and pronouns you select during character creation, you can date anyone you please. You’ve got eight unique love interests to choose from, and every one of them offers a one-of-a-kind journey to the altar and beyond. Who will make the top of your list? Look closely, and you’ll find your very own notebook to chart your path to your fairy-tale ending — just like the ones you see on the show.

The only way to know if you’re truly compatible with someone is to keep dating them. Sometimes, deal-breakers take a while to pop up, and will do so when you least expect them. If that’s the case for you in the pods, you’ve got the option to turn down a proposal and keep pursuing other love interests. Find love at your pace, not someone else’s.

If you’ve played the previous Love Is Blind mobile games, you’ll notice everything’s gotten a massive refresh. From the lounges to the reveal hallway and even the pods themselves, these familiar locales are even more inviting in New York. That’s saying nothing of the domestic digs you’ll move into after you start sharing your lives together among the skyscrapers and omnipresent fresh, hot slices of pizza.

Oh, right: The drama. Not to shake you, but there’ll be revelations that could shift the very foundation of your budding relationships. For example: We hear one of the contestants could be an expecting parent. Another? They’re just on the show to get famous — not find a deep, meaningful connection. Good luck navigating that minefield!
