In ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line, now streaming on Netflix, the Straw Hats face perilous threats at every turn while journeying through the legendary Grand Line — from a trip up the towering Reverse Mountain to a tyrant and his army on Drum Island. But their most menacing challenges came from one group in particular: Baroque Works.

First teased in Season 1, Baroque Works is a secret society of assassins that chases Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew across the Grand Line in Season 2. While the organization’s agents range in size, style, and ability — there are twisted artists who use wax and paint as torture devices, fashionistas with serious firepower, murderous animals, and more — they all share one thing in common: They’re quite deadly.

Baroque Works in ONE PIECE Season 2 Explained

“Many of their top agents have Devil Fruit powers,” says co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer Joe Tracz. “Some of those powers are incredibly scary and dangerous. Some of them are totally ridiculous. All of them prove challenging to our Straw Hats.”

Who are these eccentric baddies who have it out for our crew? Read on for a rundown of the killer agents causing mayhem for the Straw Hats this season.

Mr. 0

Mr. 0 (Joe Manganiello) is the mysterious leader of Baroque Works who’s always two steps ahead. Pulling the strings from behind a puff of smoke, he privately supported Wapol’s (Rob Colletti) efforts to reclaim his throne atop Drum Island.

In Episode 8 — spoiler alert — we learn why this shadowy figure is one of the greatest threats the Straw Hats will ever face: He’s actually Sir Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Although he keeps his real identity a closely guarded secret, several have begun to uncover the truth, including Miss Wednesday, Marine leader Smoker (Callum Kerr), and Tashigi (Julia Rehwald), Smoker’s second in command.

Special skills: Being evil and mysterious
Appears in: Episodes 4 and 8
Bounty: Canceled by order of the World Government

A woman with blue hair and a green coat with white fur cuffs sits on a couch in a dimly lit room, her hands and legs tied with rope. The space appears cozy and cluttered, with a hammock, books, and a wanted poster in the background.

Miss Wednesday

Fierce, loyal, and handy with a blade, Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran) is a skilled assassin harboring a dangerous secret: She’s — spoilers ahead — actually Princess Vivi of the Alabasta Kingdom.

Fierce, loyal, and handy with a blade, Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran) is a skilled assassin harboring a dangerous secret: She’s actually Princess Vivi of the Alabasta Kingdom. When Vivi first encounters the Straw Hats inside of Laboon’s belly, she plays up the part of a dangerous Baroque Works agent and brushes off Luffy’s attempts to get to know her.

Vivi is forced to reveal her true identity to the legendary crew after Mr. 0 learns her secret and sends the ruthless agents Mr. 5 (Camrus Johnson) and Miss Valentine (Jazzara Jaslyn) to kill her. She then joins the Straw Hats aboard the Going Merry and eventually proves to be a trustworthy ally. But it’s not until Vivi helps Luffy defeat the tyrant king Wapol, saving the people of Drum Island, that she’s regarded as a Straw Hat. Armed with new friends, she and the crew set sail for Alabasta at the season’s end.

Weapon of choice: Peacock slashers
Appears in: Episodes 2–8
Special skills: Diplomacy, logic

Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday in ‘ONE PIECE’ Season 2

Miss All Sunday

Miss All Sunday (Lera Abova) is Mr. 0’s enigmatic, dangerous, and intelligent right hand. Dressed to kill in a white cowboy hat and matching floor-length coat, she appears throughout the season trailing the Straw Hats and carrying out Mr. 0’s nefarious plans.

Like several other Baroque Works members, she hides her true identity. As we learn in Episode 8 — spoiler ahead — her real name is Nico Robin, and there’s been a bounty on her head since she was younger.

Powers: She ate the Flower-Flower Fruit, which gives her the ability to sprout limbs from any surface and explode them in a burst of Sakura petals.
Appears in: Episodes 1, 4, 6, 7, and 8
Bounty: 79 million berry

David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3 in ‘ONE PIECE’ Season 2

Mr. 3

The egocentric and sadistic strategist Mr. 3 (David Dastmalchian) thrives on turning his victims into spooky art installations. He and Miss Goldenweek encounter the Straw Hats at Little Garden.

After Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine fail to kill Miss Wednesday at Whisky Peak, Mr. 0 deploys Mr. 3 and his partner, Miss Goldenweek (Sophia Anne Caruso), to finish the job in Little Garden.

He and Miss Goldenweek almost kill Miss Wednesday — along with Zoro (Mackenyu) and Nami (Emily Rudd) — but Usopp’s (Jacob Romero Gibson) quick thinking saves the day. And when Luffy outsmarts Mr. 3, he turns Miss Valentine into one of his wax sculptures to prevent her from informing Mr. 0.

Special skills: He ate the Wax-Wax fruit, which gives him the ability to create and manipulate a wax that is hard as steel and can be sculpted into anything he wants.
Appears in: Episodes 4 and 5

Person wearing white sunglasses, red jacket with number 5 patch, and pink scarf stands indoors in a dimly lit room with green walls and vintage decor.

Mr. 5

Mr. 5 (Camrus Johnson) is a suave hit man with an elite style and arrogant demeanor to match. Although he considers friendship to be a weakness, he holds great respect for his partner, Miss Valentine. After failing to kill Miss Wednesday, he and Miss Valentine team up with Mr. 3 to take out the rogue agent and the Straw Hat crew in Little Garden. Despite an impressive (and gross) arsenal of booger bombs, he dies at the end of Zoro’s blade.

Powers: He ate the Bomb-Bomb Fruit, which turns any part of his body into deadly explosives.
Appears in: Episodes 1, 3, 4, and 5

Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine in ‘ONE PIECE’ Season 2

Miss Valentine

Miss Valentine (Jazzara Jaslyn) is Mr. 5’s stylish partner in crime. Self-absorbed and ruthless, this arrogant diva in yellow takes pleasure in playing with her targets and hunting them down.

But eliminating Miss Wednesday proves to be a lot harder than she expected — especially because Miss Wednesday has teamed with the Straw Hats. After suffering another defeat, this time in Little Garden, Mr. 3 turns her into a wax sculpture to stop her from revealing their failure to Mr. 0.

Powers: She ate the Kilo-Kilo fruit, which gives her the ability to manipulate her body weight.
Appears in: Episodes 1, 3, 4, and 5

A man with face paint and a gold crown in colorful, ornate clothing gestures dramatically with both hands indoors, in a dimly lit, reddish room with candles and shelves in the background.

Mr. 9

Mr. 9 (Daniel Lasker) is a high-ranking member of Baroque Works and Miss Wednesday’s partner. What he lacks in physical prowess he makes up for in confidence. We see that in Whisky Peak, where he taunts Zoro only to lose to the master swordsman.

Special skills: His overinflated belief in his fighting abilities
Weapon of choice: Baseball bat
Appears in: Episodes 2 and 3

A person with long hair and a tall feathered hat wields a cane or staff menacingly in a dimly lit room, with maps on the wall in the background, creating a mysterious, dramatic atmosphere.

Mr. 11

Mr. 11 (Alan Foulis) takes pride in his rank, so much so that he has it tattooed across his face. Rocking a three-piece suit and a top hat, the hubristic agent underestimates Tashigi’s skill with a sword, and she bests him in a duel.
Special skills: Lethal with a sword
Weapon of choice: Kashu, one of the 50 skillful-grade swords
Appears in: Episode 6

Young woman with red hair in pigtails wearing a large brown hat, blue shirt with white spots, and a beaded necklace, standing outdoors with a backpack and a blurred green natural background.

Miss Goldenweek

Miss Goldenweek (Sophia Anne Caruso), Mr. 3’s partner, possesses hypnotic paint that can control anyone’s emotions; each color affects a different emotion.

When Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine fail at Whisky Peak, Mr. Zero enlists her and Mr. 3 to take over the mission to kill Miss Wednesday and the Straw Hats. Miss Goldenweek uses her paint to torture Luffy. Thankfully, Usopp saves the day by turning her palette against her, and exposure to all the colors at once drives her mad.

Special skills: Twisted artistry
Appears in: Episodes 4 and 5

A person with long hair and a tall feathered hat wields a cane or staff menacingly in a dimly lit room, with maps on the wall in the background, creating a mysterious, dramatic atmosphere.

Miss Thursday

Miss Thursday (Sanchia Davids) is Mr. 11’s partner and a wisecracking baseball aficionado. Though she’s full of tricks, she strikes out in her one-on-one bout with Smoker. She delivers the pitch, and he drives one right to the face. Strike three.
Special skills: An abundance of baseball puns
Appears in: Episode 6

Miss Friday in ‘ONE PIECE’ Season 2

Miss Friday

Miss Friday is a terrifying vulture with a mean streak. Her ferocious beak is no match for Sanji’s swift feet, however, and she’s killed rather quickly.
Appears in: Episode 5

Mr. 13 in ‘ONE PIECE’ Season 2

Mr. 13

Mr. 13 is Miss Friday’s partner in crime. He may be short in stature, but this vicious otter is as dangerous as they come. Like his winged cohort, he meets his untimely end beneath Sanji’s shoe.
Weapons of choice: Machine gun, seashells with blades
Appears in: Episode 5
