Kelly Clarkson is all that you need underneath the tree.
On Christmas Day, the Emmy and Grammy Award–winning superstar will welcome fans around the world to NFL Christmas Gameday on Netflix.
The beloved talk show host and original American Idol winner will kick off the Netflix broadcast with a special performance of “Underneath the Tree,” sharing her holiday spirit and football fandom with viewers worldwide.
A Texas native and lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Clarkson’s holiday anthem hails from her first Christmas album, Wrapped in Red.
The Christmas Day football action features two marquee NFC division rivalries: Clarkson’s Dallas Cowboys vs. the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions vs. the Minnesota Vikings, both streamed live globally on Netflix. CBS Sports will produce the games, and NFL Media will produce the pregame, postgame, and studio halftime programming.

To watch the NFL live on Christmas Day, you need to subscribe to Netflix. Once logged into your account, the NFL Christmas games are included in all plans. You can log in or subscribe here.
The Cowboys vs. Commanders kicks off at 1 p.m. ET, from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, followed by the Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET, from the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Netflix is home to several projects with the NFL, including the latest installment of Quarterback, which features Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, and last year’s Receiver, which includes Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions. Both teams will play in the Christmas Day matchups streaming on Netflix.
Also new this year, as part of Netflix’s ongoing relationship with the Dallas Cowboys, are America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys, the recently announced Deion Sanders series PRIME TIME, and Season 2 of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. The record-breaking Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight also took place at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium last year, streamed by Netflix.
In 2024, Netflix streamed its first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday: The Chiefs defeated the Steelers 29–10, and the Ravens dominated the Texans 31–2. The showdowns are the two most streamed NFL games in history, with an average audience of more than 26.5 million viewers in the US, and more than 30 million viewers globally.
One of the biggest highlights of Christmas Gameday 2024 was Beyoncé’s unforgettable halftime performance. In her hometown of Houston, the pop star debuted her Cowboy Carter album with a jaw-dropping spectacle that featured Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Brittney Spencer, and Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Rodeo legends, cultural icons, and more than two hundred members of Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul marching band joined her for a Western-flavored spectacle now dubbed the Beyoncé Bowl — and if you’re eager to relive the magic, you can watch it on Netflix now.
