Most major pop stars release a Jingle Bell Rock at some point in their career, from Mariah Carey to Kelly Clarkson. But for Latina musician Angelina, played by Aimee Garcia in new movie Christmas with You, the pressure to write the next holiday hit is anything but jolly. Feeling burnt out, Angelina just wants to feel a deeper connection to her fans. In this teaser, she comes across a video of a young fan named Cristina (Deja Monique Cruz), who wants nothing more than to meet her favorite singer. 

Of course, Cristina also wants to help her dad (Freddie Prinze Jr.) find love again, but in a digital world of swiping left and right, he’s not having much luck. So when Angelina travels to a small New York town to surprise Cristina, Angelina may just be inspired to revitalize her career and love life. And we, the viewers, get to see one Freddie Prinze Jr. back on-screen again. 

“As nervous as I was getting back into making movies, I couldn’t have picked a more lovely film or a more perfect group to work with,” Prinze Jr. tells Tudum of filming Christmas with You. “They made me love this business again.”

You may recognize Garcia from Lucifer, George Lopez or the seminal Disney original Cadet Kelly. And you may know Prinze Jr. from Scooby Doo, She’s All That or being married to Sarah Michelle Gellar. But if that isn’t enough to hook you onto this soon-to-be classic holiday love story, they’re also joined by Zenzi Williams (American Rust) and Lawrence J. Hughes (Mike), with award-winning director Gabriela Tagliavini at the helm.
