More names have been added to New York City’s most exclusive guest list. Black Rabbit, the upcoming limited series set in New York’s nightlife scene, will star and be executive produced by Jason Bateman (Ozark, Air) and Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Sherlock Holmes).
Bateman will also direct the first two episodes, and Laura Linney (Ozark, Love Actually, You Can Count on Me) will direct the third and fourth episodes in a behind-the-scenes reunion with her Ozark co-star.
Read on to step behind the velvet rope and learn more about the cast and characters of Black Rabbit.
What’s Black Rabbit about?
Black Rabbit centers on some serious sibling drama: When the owner of a New York City hotspot (Law) allows his chaotic brother (Bateman) back in his life, he opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he’s built.
Who’s in the Black Rabbit creative team?
Academy Award–nominated screenwriter Zach Baylin (King Richard) and Kate Susman, also executive producers, will write the series based on an original concept.
Black Rabbit is the latest series out of Neflix’s creative partnership with Aggregate, Bateman and Michael Costigan’s production company. Law and Ben Jackson of Riff Raff Entertainment will also serve as executive producers, as well as Andrew Hinderaker, Zac Frognowski, Justin Levy, David Bernon, and Erica Kay.
Who will direct episodes of Black Rabbit?
- Bateman will direct Episodes 1 and 2.
- Linney will direct Episodes 3 and 4.
- Ben Semanoff (Ozark, Yellowjackets, The Old Man) will direct Episodes 5 and 6.

It also reunites Kurzel with Law and Baylin: Law stars in and Baylin wrote the upcoming true crime thriller The Order.
