Cameron Diaz is getting Back in Action, and she’s bringing along a few stars. The There’s Something About Mary icon is making a new action comedy with Jamie Foxx, with an ensemble that includes (*deep breath*) Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, McKenna Roberts, Rylan Jackson, Jamie Demetriou and Andrew Scott. No word yet on who everyone will be playing, but one thing’s for sure: Diaz is coming out of retirement in style.
Chandler joins the film off of his recent performances in Godzilla vs. Kong and Slumberland; the sturdy character actor previously won an Emmy for his performance as Coach Taylor in Friday Night Lights, and garnered two more nominations for his work on Bloodline. Close has received eight Academy Award nominations, for her work in films like Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liaisons, The Wife and Hillbilly Elegy.
The pair's younger costars also have their own packed resumes. Roberts starred in Dwayne Johnson action flick Skyscraper and plays a young version of Zendaya on Euphoria. Jackson will next be seen in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Demetriou had a memorable turn as a bus-riding flirt on Fleabag and as a friendly inmate in Paddington 2. And Scott, of course, played the iconic role of the Hot Priest on Fleabag season 2, alongside roles like the devious Moriarty on Sherlock and Birdy's father in Catherine, Called Birdy.

Back in June, Diaz was lured out of retirement by her Any Given Sunday co-star Foxx with that most natural of hiring gambits: a phone call from Tom Brady.
Back in Action is directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief), who co-wrote the screenplay with Brendan O’Brien (Neighbors, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates). Foxx also produces.
Back in Action is coming to Netflix soon.
