Owen Painter: I found out that my … The character name was Slurp or something like that. And I spent like two months after that wondering what "Slurp" was.

[TITLE CARD] INSIDE OWEN PAINTER’S AUDITION FOR WEDNESDAY SEASON 2

[CLIP] Owen Painter (as Slurp): [bones creaking, growls] 

Owen Painter: You've woken up from a thousand years' slumber. Um, your voice box doesn't work. Uh, and you know that water's going to fix that. Uh, there's a glass of water across the room, and there should just be some obstacles in the way. My poor neighbors, seriously. I was like … [chuckles] I was … Like, flopping around on the floor … [chuckles] … for a couple months.

[CLIP] Owen Painter (as Slurp): [low, guttural snarl] 

Owen Painter: I was just trying to, like, come up with … with gags around, like,  you know,  your nervous system not being able to work right. When I picked up the water, I like tried to lift it. And nothing would happen. Then, like, a second later, the water, like, flew up over my head or something. You know?

[CLIP] Owen Painter (as Slurp): [growls and grunts]

[grunting ravenously] 

[CLIP] Moosa Mostafa (as Eugene Ottinger): See? He likes it.

[CLIP] Owen Painter (as Slurp): [gulps, sighs]

[ragged breathing]

[thunder rumbles]

[growls]

[grunts]

[man screams]

[crowd clamoring]

[Slurp snarls]

[CLIP] Isaac Ordonez (as Pugsley Addams): I think I'm gonna call him Slurp.
