We're always trying to write what we wanna see. 

We love genre stuff, we love scary stuff, but the child in us is like, "Can there be a monster also?"

[low growling]

[screaming]

[monster squeals]

I mean, there’s so many influences. Movies, and video games, and books, and then some of our own imagination.

[growling]

[barking]

[dial tone]

[barking continues]

We wanted something that we could do practically. That we could actually build.

There’s just something there. The texture, the feel of it, the weight of it, that is hard to capture with computer graphics. Especially when you’re dealing with anything in this sort of horror genre, I wanna feel like it’s actually in the room with those actors, but it’s so much scarier. This is that classic ‘Jaws’ thing, you know. The less you see, the scarier it is anyway, and when we see it, it’ll hopefully scar some children.
