[laughs]

Mike Wheeler: Later.

[Will whimpering]

Nancy Wheeler: I'm sorry about everything. 

Jim Hopper: 99 out of 100 times, kid goes missing, the kid is with a parent or relative.

Joyce Byers: What about the other time?

Jim Hopper: What?

Jim Hopper: Joyce. 

Joyce Byers: The one!

Lucas Sinclair: Will!

Mike Wheeler: Did you guys hear that? Huh? That's not Will. 

Jim Hopper: Dr. Martin Brenner runs Hawkins Lab. This is CIA sanctioned research.

Lab Crew: Is this where it came from?

Dr. Martin Brenner: Yes.

Lab Crew: And the girl? 

Dr. Martin Brenner: She can't have gone far. Find her. 

Mike Wheeler: You're in trouble, aren't you? You know Will? Do you know where he is?

Eleven: Hiding.

Mike Wheeler: From who? 

Lucas Sinclair: We're telling your mom. 

[door slams]

Eleven: No. 

Steve Harrington: My dad has left town. So, are you in?

Carol Perkins: No parents, big house. 

Barbara Holland: This isn't you. 

Nancy Wheeler: Barb, I'm fine. 

Jonathan Byers: I was looking for my brother. 

Steve Harrington: No, this called stalking. We'll just have to take away his toy. 

Jonathan Byers: No, please, not the camera.

[mysterious music playing] 

Jonathan Byers: What's going on?

Joyce Byers: It's Will. He's trying to talk to me. Through the lights. Will, are you here?

Will Byers: Mom!

Joyce Byers: Will! What should I do? How do I get to you?

[lights buzzing]

[intense music playing] 

Nancy Wheeler: Something happened. Something terrible.

Dustin Henderson: The Vale of Shadows is a dimension that is a dark reflection, or echo, of our world. 

Nancy Wheeler: I heard something. 

Dustin Henderson: It is a place of decay and death. 

Joyce Byers: I am going to bring him home!

Dustin Henderson: It is right next to you and you don't even see it.

Mike Wheeler: An alternate dimension. 

Joyce Byers: Is there any way that you could reach Will? That you could talk to him? 

Eleven: Yes. In the Upside Down.

Nancy Wheeler: And my friend Barbara? Can you find her, too? 

Mike Wheeler: Will is alive. He's out there somewhere. All we have to do is find him. 

Dustin Henderson: She's our friend and she is crazy!

Mike Wheeler: This way, come on!

Dustin Henderson: Oh, my God! Oh, my God!

Mike Wheeler: Go! Go! Go! Go! Guys, they found us. 

Jim Hopper: What if this whole time I've been looking for Will… I've been chasing after something else. 

Joyce Byers: Will! 

Eleven: Goodbye, Mike.

[Will coughing]

Joyce Byers: That's it. 

Will Byers: I forgot to wash my hands. I'll be right back.

[coughs and retches]
