Do you remember what that last day on set was like? I mean, we couldn't get it together. Like, even the last takes… It was like... what we thought was the last shot. Then we were crying. Then he's like, "We need one more." And we're like, "Okay, dry it up."

[theme song dies down] You know, we really just got to this last day, and it was like three different units. Everybody's shooting this. It's giant stunt pieces. We've got explosions here, planes there. And it just all came to a close in true, typical Outer Banks fashion. And our first AD, who's been with us since the very, very beginning, Michael Jefferson, who has become a near and dear friend of mine… When he said it, I was just like, "There's no way this is happening." Like, "This is the final wrap. This is the final one." And he just went down the call sheet, person by person. We were there with our arms around each other. It was like the most emotionally draining, gratifying, and fulfilling moment I think I've experienced as a human being to know that we did it. It's a dream come true, you know? I was a kid from Florida who had this pipe dream of playing pretend as a career. And then now all of a sudden, I'm 50 episodes into a show that the world has embraced and done. And I feel like I've gotten to embody a character that a lot of people have embraced themselves. I got to take the makeup off, and I got to take the shirt off one last time and take the Converse and hang 'em up. And it was just the most proud I'd been of doing something in my life. The last day of filming didn't feel like the last day of filming. And I don't know why. The last day of filming was supposed to be the wedding. Weather was about to get not great, so we switched them. I had already emotionally prepared for the wedding to be the last. The last day we shot at Tanney Hill this season. I went home for the rest of the day and cried. So I kind of mourned it as it was coming, like, slowly building up to the end. So by the time the last day came around, I was like, "Yay, let's go drink."

Yeah. Let's go party. Go celebrate.

Celebrating.

Yeah.

So many different emotions. Yeah. It's like grieving the end, but celebrating it. Yeah, it's like emotional soup, you know what I mean? Like, it's like everyone's kind of… Everyone's energy is different. Like you have me, who I was just like smiling ear to ear 'cause I was just so happy and proud and I could not believe it. And then there are other people who were crying, other people who were both laughing and crying. There are, you know, people bringing, you know, gifts and having people sign things. It was just… It was… It was mayhem.

It was like the last day.

[host] Really?

This past year.

What was that like?

[Jonathan] I think it was just a celebration kind of situation, but…

[host] Yeah, I see the champagne. It was like, we did our best New York Knicks impression. Shout out to the Knicks for winning the title.

I mean, we couldn't get it together. Like, even the last takes. Like, it was like… what we thought was the last shot. Then we were crying, and he's like, "We need one more." And we're like, "Okay, dry it up. Dry it up." "One more." We do it. We were like, "Oh!" And he's like, "Wait, one more." And we're like, "Okay, this is like… It's getting less sad, I think."

[laughs] Right.

I feel like we're stuck together.

[both laugh] You're bonded for life. We are bonded for life. So no.

[host] Oh my God. Was that the wrap day?

[Carlacia] Yeah, this is the last day.

Why are you laughing at that?

Because, look at my face.

[both laugh] Isn't it funny to look back at the times where you're emotional, and you… It's not embarrassment, but you just laugh. 'Cause you're like, "I can't believe I got to that place."

Exactly. Exactly.

[both laugh]

[Carlacia] I don't even think I was able to sleep that night. And I think we were messaging, "Here we go." Like, "Here it is. Like, the last time." And it was just very emotional. Everything was like, "Oh, this is the last time." Even with catering. They wrote all these things on our boxes and stuff. And it was… It was just very emotional. I think we all kept it together until like… it was like, "And this is the last take. And this is the last scene." Certain people were wrapping earlier, and they were like, "Don't leave." "Let's get everyone together." And it just… It was just… It was like last day of high school. Do you remember any specific conversations you had that day? I think we all gathered around in the hair and makeup trailer. And we were just in there, playing music, dancing, and just like, "Wow, this is it." And it was literally just all of us in there just literally full on… Like, speaker on blast, jumping around everywhere. Can we get one final "woogity woogity"?
