Can total strangers band together to create perfect harmony without ever laying eyes on each other? Find out in Building the Band, a new music competition streaming now.
This first-of-its-kind series follows a group of singers as they form six bands based solely on talent and chemistry. During the initial phase of the musical experiment, the participants take part in blind vocal performances with guidance from host AJ McLean. From individual sound booths, the singers listening on will have to decide if they want to make a band without first seeing the face behind the voice. Once the six bands are locked in, the members will finally meet and compete under the watchful eye of a superstar panel of judges, including Kelly Rowland, the late Liam Payne, and Nicole Scherzinger, who will also serve as a mentor.
But to find success in Building the Band, the singers will need to blend more than just their vocals. They’ll also need their dance skills, work ethics, and musical aspirations to mesh. And, with next-level talent and big personalities, even the strongest band can hit a wrong note. Keep reading to meet the singers entering the competition and if you’ve already finished the season, check out Tudum’s guide to the bands to find out where they all stand today.
