Which ‘Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On’ Season 1 Couples Are Still Together?

It seems there might be a need for more silver sippy cups.

Ten episodes worth of chaos, tears and soothing affirmations from the Lacheys later, the journey of The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On Season 1 has come to a close. If we learned anything from that emotional post-finale reunion, it’s that some couples managed to come out of the experiment stronger than ever... and others, um, did not. We caught up with everyone who gave and received an ultimatum. Here’s who’s married, who’s engaged and who’s living their best life far, far away from the cameras.

Yep, Madlyn and Colby are keeping that silver sippy cup.

After a pretty tumultuous journey, Madlyn and Colby didn’t just get engaged; they actually said “I do” in The Ultimatum’s finale. Now, the couple has welcomed their first child, a daughter named Josephine Riley Kissinger. Nicknamed Josie, she was born on May 2, 2022, weighing 8 pounds and 8 ounces. But they’re not doing this journey alone: The couple reveals to Tudum that they moved back to Madlyn’s hometown to be closer to her family for the baby. “The past year has been completely dedicated to growing together in the way we love and communicate,” they say.

Randall and Shanique are engaged.

Like Colby, Randall got down on one knee in The Ultimatum’s penultimate episode — but he and Shanique later decided to take a step back and break off their engagement. After filming, they lived together, traveling and enjoying day-to-day life as a couple. “With changes in our personal lives, career shifts and moving, we’ve decided to start over and rebuild our relationship,” they told Tudum. “We are still together and loving every minute of our journey.” Well, it paid off — Randall proposed to Shanique in July 2023 and they’re now getting ready for marriage.

Alexis and Hunter are in the throes of wedding planning.

If The Ultimatum worked out for any couple, it was this duo: They got engaged in Episode 3, with both Alexis and Hunter realizing they didn’t want a trial relationship with anyone else. “Not only are we getting married this summer, but we are living together for the first time in Los Angeles with our Pomsky, Poppy Parr,” Alexis says. “I am a bride in bliss.”

So are Lauren and Nathan.

Lauren and Nathan were at a difficult crossroads when they joined the show. Nathan wanted kids, but Lauren had her reservations. Now, as an engaged couple, they’ve been able to share some “deep conversations” about their future. “We have agreed to have one child together, but we are waiting a few more years to embark on this journey, as we want to start a business and travel more before settling down,” they say. Their wedding is set for October.

Rae isn’t with Zay or Jake.

In the reunion, Rae explained that she’s been focusing on herself and figuring out her sexuality. “I was very uncomfortable with being bi for a very long time. But since Zay and I have been done, I’ve just been with one girl and that’s been kind of great, honestly,” she says.

Jake, on the other hand, is currently single. “After the show, [I] took time to myself to recoup from the shit show that unfolded, and [I’ve] been doing my own thing ever since,” he says. Zay — who briefly tried to make things work with Rae after filming — is also single and tells Tudum his love life has been “nonexistent.” Hopefully his luck will change when he mingles with other Netflix reality stars on Perfect Match.

April is apparently thriving.

As we learned in the reunion, April is in a happy relationship with a real estate broker she met in Austin after her on-screen breakup with Jake. She tells Tudum that they were set up by her friend, an agent who works with him. “She realized that when she was coming over to hang out with me, I was going through and talking about my breakup,” April says. “And when she would go to work, she’d hear him talking about going through his breakup.”

When she first heard about Jake, she had her doubts. “I was like, ‘Red flag, red flag,’ because when I heard ‘boss,’ I automatically thought of someone way older and that’s my friend’s boss. But then I saw his Insta and I’m like, ‘Wait, he’s so hot, he looks fun, and he’s successful. So, what the hell is wrong with him?’” Six months later, they’re still together. (Hopefully, both of their phones are free of twerking videos.)
