“From the very beginning, I was you. I was always a part of you,” the monster within Hyun-su says to his human self in Sweet Home Season 3. But which version of Hyun-su will prevail? In the third and final installment of the K-drama, humans, Monster Humans (MHs), and neohumans prepare for the ultimate showdown — and Hyun-su and Sang-wook, once allies, will finally face off. Directed by Lee Eung-bok (Descendants of the Sun, Mr. Sunshine, Goblin), Sweet Home Season 3 stars Song Kang, Lee Jin-uk, and Lee Si-young.
“There are a variety of characters,” director Lee Eung-bok tells Netflix. “They all fight in their own ways — from the battle between Sang-wook, who has turned evil, and Hyun-su, who longs to preserve his humanity; [to] Yi-kyung, who fights to protect Kid; and Sergeant Tak, who feels responsible for the survivors’ safety.”

The third season has eight episodes.

Lee Jin-uk and Lee Si-young in Sweet Home Season 3
Picking up where Sweet Home left off in Season 2, monsterization has taken over, and MHs are everywhere. Hyun-su (Song), now part monster, struggles to regain control over his human self. MH turned neohuman Sang-wook (Lee Jin-uk) and his followers make a shocking announcement: Survivors showing symptoms will no longer face restrictions and are granted clemency. The news throws the non-symptomatic survivors, who no longer have refuge, into chaos. Elsewhere, Eun-yu (Go) and Chan-yeong (Jinyoung) continue their fight for survival, while the rise of neohumans, a new monster hybrid species, becomes a greater threat.
Will Hyun-su reconnect with his inner human before squaring off with the resurrected Eun-hyeok (Lee Do-hyun), and Sang-wook? What will become of Yi-kyung’s infected daughter, The Girl (Kim Si-a), now that Sang-wook has released all the humans and infectees? As the series finale approaches, the survivors from Green Home apartment complex have one last chance to save their own humanity.
