Get Hyped with One Last Fiery Trailer Before Stranger Things 5 Is Upon Us

    “What could go wrong?”

    Nov. 23, 2025

Hold onto your handlebars, nerds. We’re speeding toward one last adventure in Hawkins, Indiana, and we’re in the final stretch before the first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 are unleashed upon our dimension on Nov. 26. “What could go wrong?” asks Robin (Maya Hawke) in the new trailer, which debuted at the Netflix x CicLAvia event One Last Ride in Los Angeles.

As always, plenty can go wrong. Stranger Things 5, which premieres with Volume 1 on Nov. 26, picks up in the fall of 1987. With Hawkins scarred by the opening of the Rifts at the end of Season 4, our heroes are out for blood. Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), meaning business, says, “I wanna see Vecna’s heart on a platter.”

It’s all-out war in the trailer as armies of flying Demogorgons burst from the ground. This time, the gang is ready to finish the fight that started when Stranger Things first premiered in 2016.

“I think what’s unique about this season is that it starts a little bit in chaos because our heroes ultimately lost at the end of Season 4,” series co-creator Ross Duffer tells Tudum. “We usually set up their normal life and how they’re going about school, and then we introduce the supernatural element. But in this case, this season is sprinting from the start.”

In the trailer’s final shot, Dustin, Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Steve (Joe Keery) gun the WSQK van straight into a glowing red portal — and you’ve got shotgun as we follow them one last time.

If this preview is any indication, Hawkins has never faced anything like what’s coming next.

Stranger Things 5 releases with the first four episodes on Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. PST, followed by three episodes
on Christmas, and the finale episode
on New Year’s Eve. Find out when new episodes arrive in your part of the world here.
