Let the banjo playing continue. Steve Martin’s fingers are still intact after Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards cold open, despite the actor threatening to cut them off, Banshees of Inisherin-style.
The Only Murders in the Building cast welcomed viewers at the top of the show, but Martin and Martin Short almost didn’t make it to the ceremony. Let’s just say there was some strangling involved. The reason behind their friendship rift? They’re both nominated for outstanding male actor in a comedy series. “You both obviously are going to lose,” Selena Gomez chimed in while attempting to stop her co-stars from fighting each other. Thankfully, the comedic duo hugged it out just in time for the SAG Awards.
