What happens in Queen of Tears?

Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun), a humble but sharp-minded lawyer, hails from the small village of Yongduri. Hong Hae-in is a high-powered exec who lives like royalty — she’s a mega-rich retail conglomerate nepo baby. Her family, one of the wealthiest in South Korea, owns Queens Group, which Hae-in oversees. And she’s an incredibly hard worker… albeit, a bit arrogant.

Hyun-woo met Hae-in when the two were interns together at her grandfather’s company. They had a series of meet-cutes at the photocopier, fell in love despite their wildly different upbringings, and got married. But just three years later, Hyun-woo’s attempts to please his wife are met with disdain, and he feels disenchanted by her and her impossible-to-please parents — so much so that he’s reconsidering the relationship. Hae-in, who’s always fiercely defended their love, can’t understand why Hyun-woo seems to be slipping away… It’s the last thing she ever expected.

Then, an earth-shattering crisis happens that tests their bond even more. But maybe, just maybe, it’ll re-ignite their romance.
