The upcoming season of Queen Charlotte will feature a prominent character that has no lines but is commonly spoken of and regularly visible on-screen — spoiler alert, it’s tea. Tea is being served and sipped so frequently that you can’t help but long for a cup of your own. Why resist that craving when you can fulfill it in the most befitting manner, with Queen Charlotte-inspired tea?

The Republic of Tea is debuting three different flavors in a collection that draws inspiration from particular Queen Charlotte characters. First, there’s the Young Queen Charlotte Amethyst Berry Tea, a fruity blend that can prepare you for a busy day’s duties (and was the favorite of the Queen Charlotte cast when they tasted the teas). The other two options include a Young King & Queen Royal Celebration Tea, a black tea which boasts decadent fruity and floral aromas with cornflower and marigold petals, and a Young Lady Danbury Topaz Citrus Tea, a caffeine-free tea with tangy orange and lemon flavors. 

This could be your own crowning moment, as you take sip after sip while watching Queen Charlotte, premiering on Netflix May 4. The teas can be enjoyed hot or cold (with the special Sparkling Amethyst Lemonade recipe below) and are now available at World Market, The Republic of Tea and Netflix Shop. 

Ingredients:

• 2 tea bags of Young Queen Charlotte Amethyst Berry Tea
• 6 ounces sparkling lemonade

Steep the tea bags in 6 ounces of boiling water for 5–7 minutes. Let cool completely. Fill 2 glasses with ice and pour half of the tea in each, followed by the sparkling lemonade.

Some options to make it extra fancy: 

• Fill an ice cube tray with fresh berries and lemonade. Freeze and use it in place of regular ice.
• Add a splash of rosé wine for a low-alcohol cocktail.
