Grammy–winning singer SZA makes her film debut opposite Hustlers star Keke Palmer in this comedy about two friends doing whatever it takes to secure $1,500 before they’re evicted from their apartment. Produced by Insecure star and co-creator Issa Rae, One of Them Days also stars Vanessa Bell Calloway, Lil Rel Howery, Katt Williams, and Maude Apatow. The film, directed by Lawrence Lamont, was penned by Insecure writer Syreeta Singleton. The two previously collaborated on Singleton’s series Rap Sh!t.

What happens in One of Them Days?
LA roomies and best friends Dreux and Alyssa are broke as hell when their landlord comes knocking to yell at them for being behind on rent. Except they did pay the rent. It was just … stolen by Alyssa’s boyfriend so he could make knockoff merch. Dreux and Alyssa are told they have until that evening to cough up the cash, otherwise they’ll be kicked to the curb. So the two best friends concoct a plan to get the money in record time.
