Whether you were able to attend Netflix is a Joke Fest IRL or are (still) screaming at John Mulaney from the comfort of your couch, this week was packed with punches — not literally, because no one punched Tom Brady, but he definitely took some hits. With more than 500 live stand-up shows, special events, table reads, and even a zip line, there’s plenty of comedic gold to unpack so far.
If you’re a fan of Seth Rogen and his extracurricular activities, or you personally identify with a Hormone Monster, or you just want to know how Bert Kreischer ended up in Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos’ pool, read on for the best moments of Netflix is a Joke Fest. And stay tuned for more!

Recent LA transplant John Mulaney is both confused and fascinated by the city, as evidenced by his history and geography lesson of Los Angeles in the opening episode of Everybody’s in LA. “What do we mean by LA?” he asks. “Well, in many ways, we mean Los Angeles. Let’s take a look at what that means.” Mulaney then pulls out his map of LA and gives his audience a very accurate lesson on the city’s history, touching everything from the mayor and police to the serial killers who “terrorized LA’s freeways and streets” in the ’70s. Fun fact, he notes: Every hotel in Downtown LA has its own Netflix true crime documentary. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true history of LA without getting into the history of surfing, which was invented by Donald Surfing in 1955. Catch up with everybody in LA on Netflix.
With a three-hour run time — and 23 seasons in the NFL — there was plenty to roast Tom Brady about. After all, he’s the most roastable football player of all time. And many of his former teammates, as well as comedians and actors, were there to deliver the jabs. But there were a few standouts, like former Patriots head coach Bill BelichickBill Belichik roasting Brady’s English soccer team for being relegated to a lower league. “Not so easy running a team, is it Tom? Stick to American football,” he said. Everyone’s favorite anchorman Ron Burgundy — who referred to Brady as the most boring quarterback, best known for losing to Eli Manning — made an appearance, as well. You can watch the full roast on Netflix.

Before she took the stage for her residency at the Wiltern, Ali Wong shared a makeup mishap that left her feeling like an X-Men villain. In a backstage clip, Wong revealed that she forgot her eyebrow pencil and decided to make do by filling in her ‘brows with a reddish-brown eyeliner. “I think it looks kinda crazy,” she said. “I look like an X-Men villain.” See for yourself when Wong’s upcoming comedy special lands on Netflix.

There was no shortage of shenanigans at Netflix is a Joke Fest’s Big Mouth event. During the show, Nick Kroll invited reality TV star Becca Calb, who starred on Couple to Throuple, onstage to get a vulgar tattoo of Richard Kind’s character Marty Glouberman. Calb was tattooed backstage at the Greek Theatre, and Kroll shared her video updates with the audience throughout the event. Then Adam Lambert and John Mulaney stole the show with their duet of “Totally Gay,” a song about what it’s like to be gay. “I’m not the boy I used to be, I’m here, I’m queer, get used to me,” Mulaney belted, which probably came as a surprise to his girlfriend.
We all have that one friend — and TikToker/comedian Sabrina Brier is all of them. Brier performed at the exclusive Netflix is a Joke Fest’s mini-fest, Outside Joke, but before she took the stage, she didn’t really understand how comedy festivals work. “It’s just, like, a little bit like Coachella,” she said, while playing the role of that friend who’s never been to a comedy festival.

With his custom WOKE FOKE necklace, Katt Williams took the stage at Netflix is a Joke Fest ready to expose some secrets. “In my spare time, I infiltrate the Illuminati. Look for they secrets, run back, tell y’all.” And the only reason he hasn’t been stopped yet? He’s just too fast for them to catch. Katt Williams, the people’s comedian. Nothing and no one was off limits for Williams, who went after Trump, Biden, Ron DeSantis, Nick Cannon, Jamie Foxx, Oprah, and Ozempic. After leaving the stage, he also dished out some words of wisdom to comedian Hannah Berner, telling her, “If you’re not a genius, understanding a genius almost isn’t possible.” Run, don’t walk, to stream his new special right now.

The time has come to lip-synch for your life. Drag Brunch was the place to be over the weekend at the Netflix iIs aA Joke mini-festival, Outside Joke, which features live stand-up sets and surprise drop-ins from the biggest names in comedy. There wasn’t a seat left open at this event, and that didn’t stop people from standing on all sides of the stage because they weren’t going to miss brunch. The crowd was living for Drag Brunch host Alyssa Edwards, who was joined by Latrice Royale, Mudd, Irene Tu, Nori Reed, and Jimbo the Drag Clown, who made sure everyone got a taste of whipped cream.
Seth Rogen lit up the Hollywood Bowl with his comedy set — literally. As he torched a giant, 35-foot bong, Rogen was joined by a star-studded lineup of performances by Snoop Dogg, Lil Dicky, Bill Burr, Ramy Youssef, Ronny Chieng, and Janelle James. But it was surprise guest Post Malone who stole the show with his freaky dance moves as he performed a 5-song set.

If anyone knows how to make an entrance, it’s Will Ferrell. He took to the stage with a T-shirt gun at the Orpheum Theatre for the LA Dodgers Comedy Night and asked the audience, “Who’s ready for some free sh*t?” Ferrell, drunk on power, went on to launch T-shirts into the crowd, warning people to “Stand back.” Before the show, a few Dodgers players were asked to rate dad jokes, like that one about the pop fly. But if you don’t get it, don’t worry — it’s way over your head.
Tim Robinson took to the stage at the Greek Theatre for I Think You Should Leave Live and was joined by an eclectic crew that included comedians Sam Richardson, Patti Harrison, and Vanessa Bayer, as well as Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus. But if you looked into the crowd, you might have noticed that The Pointer Brothers made an appearance — and by the end of the night, they had pointed at everyone in the arena.
Some of the great comedy powers that be gathered at the home of Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos to premiere Jerry Seinfeld’s Pop-Tart film, Unfrosted, and take a class photo. And we have some behind-the-scenes details right here:
First off, Bert Kreischer — who’s anticipating his new Netflix special later his year — couldn’t contain his excitement long enough to remove his jeans before jumping in the pool, which kicked off the jokes and laughter for everyone. Tiffany Haddish, Sinbad, and Luenell shared a moment together to support each other and share the love. And if you’re not looking closely enough, you just might miss Bo Burnham’s head poking out from behind a pillar. Plus, peep father-and-son duo Rob and John Lowe standing at a healthy distance fromamong the big group of legends. This was one big, chaotic family reunion, and it wouldn’t be Netflix is a Joke without some clothes in a pool.
