The Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA have announced the 2026 winners, and two performers in Netflix original series took home trophies. Keri Russell won the first award of the night for her role in the Debora Cahn political drama The Diplomat. She used her speech to shine a spotlight on the work of the ensemble, which includes Rufus Sewell, Allison Janney, and Bradley Whitford, among others. “Rufus and I always say, ‘Every single one of you could have your own show … You are all so good,’ ” she said. “I’m just grateful.”
Adolescence also received an accolade: Owen Cooper was recognized by his peers, becoming the youngest individual winner. Cooper’s Actor Award trophy joins the others he’s collected for his riveting work in Adolescence, including an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice Award.
After the ceremony, which aired live on Netflix, talent gathered with host Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This) to celebrate the affecting, profound, and humorous performances given by their peers over the past year. Russell was joined by The Beast in Me’s Matthew Rhys in celebrating her win at the Netflix after-party, with Rhys’s co-star Claire Danes, Bridgerton star and Actor Awards ambassador Yerin Ha, Erin Doherty and Christine Tremarco of Adolescence, Nobody Wants This’s Timothy Simons, and more also joining in on the festive fun.
