Man vs. Bee is a new comedy series starring Rowan Atkinson of Mr. Bean fame. It premieres on June 24. As the title suggests, the series is about a bumbling house sitter who takes on a bumblebee.

Hired to keep an eye on a mansion filled with high-end art while the owners are on vacation, Trevor (Atkinson) discovers the cushy job is far tougher than he thought when a buzzing, annoying bee enters the space. Trevor becomes obsessed with getting rid of his rival, and mayhem ensues.

Is ‘Man vs. Bee’ Appropriate for Kids?

Is Man vs. Bee appropriate for kids? Younger children may be frightened by Trevor’s obsession with the bee and some of the destruction (particularly the arson). They may also find scenes where Cupcake the dog becomes incapacitated and injured upsetting. (But don’t worry, he’s shown to be fine in the end).

However, overall, Man vs. Bee is a film most families can enjoy together. Children ages 7 to 9 will understand the humor that drives the destruction but also the consequences behind it, and there are plenty of comedic moments within the series for kids of all ages to giggle at.
