Ladies and gentlemen: Her (Allison Janney. You’ve seen her as Tonya Harding’s mother and a White House press secretary. Now the actor is leading the upcoming action-thriller Lou, alongside Jurnee Smollett — and the trailer is a heart-pounding quest.
Hoping to leave her dangerous past behind, Lou (Janney) finds her quiet life disrupted when a desperate mother (Smollett) living next door begs her to save her kidnapped daughter. To make matters worse, a massive storm is underway, and both women must risk their lives on a rescue mission that will test their limits and expose dark secrets from their past.

Directed by Anna Foerster (Outlander, Westworld), the film not only features two women working together on-screen, but also a team of women behind the scenes, including screenwriter Maggie Cohn (The Staircase, Narcos: Mexico), producer Hannah Minghella and Janney and Smollett as executive producers. Also joining the team are Logan Marshall-Green (Big Sky), Ridley Asha Bateman, and producers J.J. Abrams and Jon Cohen.
