When Liv (Melissa Barrera) travels to northern Canada to escape her life, her plane crashes and she’s left in the wilderness with only the clothes on her back. While battling the elements, Liv must look deep within herself — and her past — to find the strength to stay alive.

Melissa Barrera

A workaholic securities litigator in New York City, Liv wants to escape the city after dealing with a number of life-changing events. When she hitches a ride with photographer Sam and pilot George on a small plane to Inuvik in northern Canada, they crash in the middle of nowhere. After escaping the plane, Liv must brave the wilderness while making peace with who she’s become.

Barrera is a Mexican actor whose recent roles include the musical In the Heights, the drama series Vida and the 2022 Scream reboot. She received several best actress nominations for her role in In the Heights.

Jeff Wilbusch

A co-worker of Liv’s, Danny is set up with Liv by their colleague, Ruth. Liv initially brushes off sweet and charming Danny after they share a late night together. Initially concerned about mixing business and pleasure, the two become close — but he has trouble getting past her hardened exterior. 

An Israeli-German actor, Wilbusch’s most buzzworthy roles include the Netflix series Unorthodox and the 2021 film Oslo.

Austin Stowell

A National Geographic photographer who’s headed to take pictures of the caribou in Inuvik, he initially refuses to let Liv catch a flight with him and his pilot, George, then gives in when she won’t take no for an answer. But while reassuring Liv that turbulence is nothing to worry about, the plane begins to nosedive.

Stowell is best known for playing Josh in The Hating Game (based on Sally Thorne’s bestselling novel) and the film Bridge of Spies.

Florencia Lozano 

Liv’s Argentinian mom, Lucia, is a painter. She and Tomás’ volatile marriage heavily affects Liv’s emotional wellbeing as a child and has lasting consequences on her adulthood. Lucia is impulsive and has unpredictable outbursts, which often cause her to forget about young Liv. 

Lozano notably played Eleanor Waldorf in the original Gossip Girl series and played Claudia on the Netflix series Narcos. She also had a long-standing role as Téa Delgado Lord on One Life to Live and General Hospital. 

Juan Pablo Espinosa

Liv’s Colombian father, Tomás, wants to be there for his daughter but his tumultuous relationship with his wife, Lucia, causes nonstop fighting in their household, leaving Liv with little stability and a fear of abandonment. As their family situation becomes strained, Tomás grows closer to Liv.

Espinosa is a Colombian actor most known for his roles in the telenovela La Fan, the Colombian drama series Secrets of Paradise and the Colombian dramedy El Secretario. Like Lozano, he has been featured in the Netflix series Narcos.

Mike Dopud 

George pilots a plane to transport Sam to Inuvik. At the last minute, Liv joins their flight, which crashes in the middle of nowhere, leaving the survivors stranded. 

Dopud is a Canadian actor best known for starring as Jason Micic on the drama series Power and as Viktor on the superhero series Arrow.

Joselyn Picard

Young Liv must deal with the turmoil of her parents’ relationship. She endures their frequent fighting, her mother’s unpredictable moods, and her father’s attempts to keep everything in order. 

Picard hails from Barcelona and plays Sophie Cushing on the series Superman & Lois.

Getenesh Berhe 

Danny and Liv’s co-worker, Ruth, sets the two up on a date. Ruth is concerned about Liv not taking better care of her personal life and encourages her to take time off. She tries to relate to Liv and what she’s going through, but Liv is too concerned with her work to really listen.

Berhe is an Eritrean-Canadian actress who most recently played Abrihet in the thriller Cinema of Sleep. Her performance garnered an ACTRA nomination and an honorable mention at the Whistler Film Festival.
