If you need a heavy hitter to add some pizzazz to your onscreen ensemble, call Kathryn Hahn. The actor, best known for her scene-stealing comedy roles, recently made waves online after confirming she’ll portray the villainous Mother Gothel in the live-action Tangled adaptation alongside Teagan Croft as Rapunzel. The role is a pitch-perfect fit for her career so far, which has ranged from beloved 2000s rom-coms to award-winning comedy series.

Fans will recognize Hahn from her first big supporting role in the Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, followed by flicks like Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! and The Holiday. Her part in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was followed by roles in comedies like Step Brothers, We’re the Millers, The D Train, and Bad Moms. Hahn has also occasionally landed in drama films like Revolutionary Road and Private Life (more about that below). And she’s lent her voice to animated movies like Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

On TV, Hahn made her mark as a guest star on series like Parks and Recreation, Bob’s Burgers, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She also took on leading roles in series like Transparent, Mrs. Fletcher, and WandaVision, the latter of which got a spin-off, Agatha All Along, with Hahn reprising her role as the witch Agatha Harkness. Most recently, she starred alongside Seth Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, and Catherine O’Hara in the satirical comedy The Studio, which won the Actor Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Read on to learn more about Hahn’s comedies and dramas on Netflix.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Rian Johnson’s whodunit, the follow-up to Knives Out, tracks the suave, astute Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) as he travels to a remote Greek island after receiving a mysterious invitation from a tech billionaire (Edward Norton). When one of the wealthy guests winds up dead, Blanc must sniff out the murderer among the ensemble of colorful characters, including Hahn’s Claire Debella, an exacting politician who’s running for Senate. Kate Hudson (Running Point), Janelle Monáe (Welcome to Marwen), Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), Madelyn Cline (Outer Banks), Leslie Odom Jr. (Harriet), and Jessica Henwick (Vladimir) also star.

Private Life

Hahn and Paul Giamatti (Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale) star as a middle-aged married couple, Rachel and Richard, desperate to have a kid. For years, they focused on their careers as creatives in New York City, and now they’re afraid that they’ve missed their chance to be parents, especially after multiple failed artificial insemination attempts. They’re considering other options — including in vitro fertilization and adoption — when their niece, Sadie (Kayli Carter), comes to live with them and provides a new perspective. Molly Shannon (People We Meet on Vacation), John Carroll Lynch (The Highwaymen), and Denis O’Hare (The Postcard Killings) also star in this dramedy written and directed by Tamara Jenkins (The Savages).

The Do-Over

David Spade and Adam Sandler co-star in this buddy action comedy directed by Steve Brill (Sandy Wexler) about two former friends, Charlie (Spade) and Max (Sandler), who reunite at their high school reunion and realize their lives didn’t exactly go as planned. So Max fakes their deaths and steals the identities of two dead men for the ultimate do-over. But after partying it up in Puerto Rico, they realize that the men whose identities they stole might have been dead for a reason when some men with guns come knocking. Hahn plays Max’s ex, Becca, who tracks them down. Paula Patton (Somewhere Between) and Luis Guzmán (Wednesday) also star.

Fixed

This R-rated animated comedy stars Adam Devine (The Out-Laws) as the voice of Bull, a mutt who learns that his owners are planning to get him neutered. His pals — a boxer named Rocco (Idris Elba), the fun-loving Lucky (Bobby Moynihan), and the wannabe influencer dachshund Fetch (Fred Armisen) — decide he deserves one final night on the town. Bull is down to have a little fun, but his main goal is to declare his love for his next-door neighbor, the glamorous show dog Honey (Hahn). Beck Bennett (Superman), Michelle Buteau (Survival of the Thickest), River Gallo (Ponyboi), and Grey DeLisle (The Fairly OddParents) also provide voice work for this movie directed by five-time Emmy Award–winning filmmaker Genndy Tartakovsky.
