She may still be Jenny from the block, but she’s come a long way. The Bronx native and former Fly Girl has become a Grammy-nominated chart-topper, a Super Bowl halftime show headliner, a successful business mogul, and the producer and star of Hollywood blockbusters.

Since her breakout performance in the 1997 biopic Selena, Jennifer Lopez’s onscreen roles span every genre — you can catch her throwing knockout punches, falling in love, and chasing robots in space. (And though she sings that she “Ain’t Your Mama,” in one gritty thriller, she is literally The Mother.)

Her latest film is a return to one of her classic genres, the romantic comedy, as exemplified by The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, The Back-up Plan, Second Act, and Marry Me. Titled Office Romance, the movie sees a CEO (Lopez) risking her professional legacy for NSFW trysts with the company’s new lawyer (Brett Goldstein).

Keep scrolling to learn more about Office Romance and Lopez’s other movies on Netflix. Stream them whenever you’d like — there’s no need to wait for tonight.

Office Romance

Prepare for liftoff with this NSFW rom-com. Lopez plays Jackie Cruz, a perfectionist CEO of an airline company with a new hire: an ambitious lawyer, Daniel Blanchflower (Brett Goldstein, who also co-wrote the film). These workaholics first try to deny their obvious chemistry, but soon give in to raunchy island romps — and the consequences of their romance. Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, and Bradley Whitford are also in the film, which reunites Lopez with her Selena co-star Edward James Olmos, again playing her onscreen father.

Angel Eyes

It’s not every day that a dangerous crime scene is also a meet cute. This romantic drama stars Lopez as Sharon, a police officer who is in hot pursuit of a criminal and about to meet her fate — until a mysterious man known as Catch (Jim Caviezel) thwarts the gunman. From their chance encounter springs a new relationship with the only person who might help the other heal from the traumas of their past. Sônia Braga and Terrence Howard are also in the cast.

Atlas

In this sci-fi adventure, Lopez plays the titular Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence. She travels across the galaxy on a quest to defeat her oldest enemy: the robot warrior who upended her life. But when the mission goes awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it. Sterling K. Brown, Mark Strong, and Simu Liu are featured in the film, directed by Brad Peyton (Daybreak).

Bordertown

This crime drama stars Lopez as Lauren, a dogged Chicago newspaper reporter who is assigned to look into a series of murders involving young female factory workers along the US-Mexico border. Antonio Banderas plays Lauren’s former colleague who works at a Mexican publication and joins her on the investigation; Martin Sheen plays her boss. Come for the story inspired by true events, stay for “Porque la vida es asi” — a song Lopez recorded for the film.

Halftime

Lopez was at a climactic moment in her career when she opened up her life to documentary filmmaker Amanda Micheli. She was coming off a critically acclaimed acting role in Lorene Scafaria’s Hustlers and preparing to perform at the 2020 Super Bowl. Taking fans behind the scenes with the triple-threat entertainer, this documentary isn’t just named for the Super Bowl midpoint: The film makes clear that, at 50, Jenny from the block had only just finished her first act.

Marry Me

The Mother

Hell hath no fury like a woman — especially a mother — scorned. In this gritty thriller, Lopez plays a military-trained assassin who is pulled out of retirement when her long-lost daughter, Zoe (Lucy Paez), is in danger. The duo does whatever it takes to outrun trained killers (played by Joseph Fiennes and Gael García Bernal). Omari Hardwick and Paul Raci are also featured in this high-stakes flick, which takes the action from Cuba to the Alaskan wilderness.
