Being stuck on an isolated missile base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is daunting enough. But unfortunately for military captain JJ Collins (Elsa Pataky), this latest mission will be her greatest challenge yet. What happens when you’re the only thing standing in the way of Armageddon? Collins finds out the hard way.

Interceptor, directed and co-written by Matthew Reilly, is an unflinching, action-packed affair that follows JJ as she tirelessly punches, kicks and shoots her way through a surprise hostile coup led by Alexander Kessel (Luke Bracey) and his band of soldiers for hire. When Alexander reveals his plan to start a nuclear war using the missiles located on the interceptor, JJ and her crew assemble an all-out battle to save the world from disaster.
As you watch the battle unfold on-screen, you might spot some familiar faces from other action films. Here’s your definitive cast guide.

Having co-starred with Vin Diesel in the popular car action franchise Fast & Furious, actor and model Elsa Pataky, who played Brazilian police officer Elena Neves, knows a little something about kicking ass and taking the lead in male-dominated spaces. In Interceptor, Pataky stars as JJ Collins, a headstrong military captain tasked with protecting the United States from a nuclear missile crisis after a team of mercenaries hijacks her interceptor missile base.
Fun fact: Pataky’s husband, Marvel actor Chris Hemsworth, also serves as executive producer on the film.

After starring as the perfect dreamboat in the Netflix romantic comedy Holidate, Australian actor Luke Bracey joins the latest action thriller Interceptor as its main bad boy. Bracey plays a trigger-happy scoundrel named Alexander Kessel who plans on destroying several metropolitan cities in the US via a series of strategic missile strikes.
Before Interceptor, Bracey starred alongside Andrew Garfield in another war film, Hacksaw Ridge. You can also see him in the upcoming Baz Luhrmann Elvis biopic alongside Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Australian actor Aaron Glenane brings brute strength and a smart-ass attitude to his character, Beaver. On first introduction, he reveals that he has a penchant for poker, yogurt and toilet humor. But don’t let the cool demeanor fool you — Beaver might be more devious than he lets on.
Glenane is most known for his role as chef Colin Gale in the American military comedy 68 Whiskey and for his role as the Last Australian on the dystopian TV series Snowpiercer.

Mayen Mehta uses his background as a classically trained actor and comedian to bring sincerity, humor and heart to his role as Corporal Shah, the officer who teams up with JJ to try and stop Alexander from destroying the interceptor missile base.
If you find yourself charmed by his performance and wanting more, Mehta can be found in small roles on Power Rangers Dino Fury and Sweet Tooth — both now streaming on Netflix.

Paul Caesar makes a brief appearance as Captain Welsh, an experienced officer tasked with relaying information about nearby Russian subs. Other acting credits include the popular Australian TV drama series Heartland, starring Cate Blanchett and the feature crime drama The Square, with Joel Edgerton.

Ugandan-Australian actor Belinda Jombwe plays Ensign Washington, a military staffer who welcomes JJ aboard the isolated interceptor base.
Jombwe made her feature debut in the Australian indie romantic comedy The Casting Game, which centers around a diverse group of twentysomethings trying to navigate their budding careers as aspiring actors while also looking for love in the process.

Marcus Johnson plays the steadfast General Dyson who works with President Wallace to keep JJ and the American people safe from Russian interference. Similarly to co-star Mehta, Johnson can also be seen in a Power Rangers spin-off, Power Rangers Ninja Steel on Netflix.

All hail Madam President Wallace. Like Pataky, Australian actor Zoe Carides portrays a woman in a high position of power. President Wallace is tasked to help JJ save the American people from impending doom after Alexander hijacks the Interceptor base.
Carides’ career spans nearly four decades, but you might have seen her in the Australian feature adaptation of the comic novel Death in Brunswick, starring Sam Neill, and the Netflix TV drama Pieces of Her.
