





Lace up your skates — Icebreaker is on the way, and we know which stars will be at the center of the ice. Daisy Jelley (Poser, How to Have Sex, Geek Girl) and Connor Simos (Subversion) have been cast as fan-favorite characters Anastasia “Stassie” Allen and Nate Hawkins in the upcoming college romance series. And now we know some of the faces who’ll be joining Jelley and Simos in Icebreaker. Gabriel Tierney, Auliʻi Cravalho, Peter Berry, Chaneil Kular, Devin Craig, and Aidan Shaw have all joined the cast. You can see all eight cast members in a photo below.
The series follows Stassie, a competitive figure skater with her eyes on Olympic gold. Everything changes when she’s forced to share the rink with Nate Hawkins, a hockey player who’s equally determined to go pro. Despite the cold temperatures on the ice, the heat between Stassie and Nate is undeniable. But is ambition or attraction the sharper blade?

Icebreaker is based on Hannah Grace’s viral hockey romance novel of the same name, which has charmed the New York Times bestseller list and BookTok alike. Amanda Lasher (Gossip Girl, The Bold Type, Togetherness) is the series’ showrunner and Jade Halley Bartlett (Road House, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Miller’s Girl) is the creator.

The series is executive produced by Unwell Productions, from Alex Cooper, Matt Kaplan, and Mina Lefevre. Jade Halley Bartlett (Road House, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Miller’s Girl) is the drama’s creator, and Amanda Lasher (Gossip Girl, The Bold Type, Togetherness) is the showrunner and writer. Both Bartlett and Lasher executive produce.
“I have been a fan of steamy YA since the seventh grade, reading Judy Blume stealthily hidden behind a textbook,” Lasher says. “I love this genre, and it’s been a joy working with Jade, the team at Unwell, and Netflix to bring Hannah Grace’s beloved Icebreaker novel to the screen.”
Bartlett also offers a hint about what will make the Icebreaker series so special.

Jinny Howe, Netflix’s head of scripted series for US and Canada, announced the upcoming series at the BANFF World Media Festival.
