The thriller I Came By, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Babak Anvari, tells the story of a graffiti artist who targets a wealthy man and, in turn, becomes a target himself. The film’s stacked cast includes 1917 star George MacKay, Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville and Emmy winner Kelly Macdonald. I Came By is available to stream Aug. 31.

George MacKay

Toby Nealey

Toby is a rebellious graffiti artist who tags the homes of affluent, privileged people around London to make a statement about Britain’s elite. He’s angry with the world and with his best friend, Jay, who quits tagging after his girlfriend becomes pregnant. When Toby’s first solo attempt goes sideways, a game of cat and mouse with one of his intended targets turns deadly.

MacKay is a Cannes Film Festival award winner and a SAG and BAFTA award nominee. He starred alongside Jeremy Irons in the January 2022 Netflix film Munich: The Edge of War and is best known for his role as a World War I soldier in the Academy Award–winning film 1917.

Percelle Ascott

Jameel Agassi, aka Jay

When Jay finds out his girlfriend is pregnant, he decides it’s too risky to continue tagging houses with Toby. Incensed by his friend’s unwelcome reaction to quitting, Jay is reluctant to help even after Toby’s grim discovery at Sir Hector Blake’s house.

Ascott is a British-Zimbabwean actor and producer. He plays Harry in the Netflix drama series The Innocents.
